Long has it been since the mystery of Lord Kortyl Rowanmantle's missing wife and daughter began to unfold. Now, tenebrous, gnawing rumors of abductions, cultists, and worse abound. The three members of the team, Ronja, Vix, and Cassius, have thwarted one enclave of those calling themselves the Progeny of Ragnorra, and their terrifying servants - but whenever they cut one thread, more seem to emerge. At this juncture, there seem to be many compounds, and many secrets to unfold, even though they have seen each other through so much.
Hi, everyone. We're more than thirty sessions into a paid 3.5 Elder Evils game. Currently, the party is level 9. The intent is to complete a full campaign. I intend this game to go over level 20. The setting is forgotten realms, in Cormyr, primarily. The year is 1396 DR, just after the spellplague. I have a slot for 1 more person.
The game is many sessions in. I have been taking account of each session with a recap, posted in the listing discussion below. None of this is really necessary to read if you just want to hop in, but it's there if you do. Reach out here or discord and we can get started. This game has a focus on roleplaying and plot development.
This game uses 3.5 as the base engine, with allowing modified pathfinder content upon request and adaptation. I generally will just allow it with modifications of skills and rules to adapt to 3.5. Don't hesitate to pitch your concept or ask. The worst I can say is no (I won't say eww).
Be 18+. I am not trying to discriminate here, but I want to have the option to include mature content that may be inappropriate for minors. Mature content has been included previously in this game. It has not, and I do not anticipate this to be a large component of the game, but for the interest of everyone involved and the law, I must insist. If you are curious about the limit or scope of this, do not hesitate to open a discussion with me about it either here on roll20 or on discord.
Be respectful to each other. There will be no harassment/creeping/slurs/defamation/bullying, etc. You will be warned after one incident, and removed if a second occurs. No exceptions. In severe cases, no warning will be given.
This game is in English, and I expect players to be able to speak, write, and understand the language. Expert proficiency is not required, but moderate competency is.
Be able and willing to use roll20 for maps, and discord for audio. This game will not include video.
All adults are welcome. In the application field, I am asking players to provide information that will help me best match them with other players based on their preferences. I am not excluding anyone from this game for any reason. Your responses in this field may increase your wait time, although I believe it is beneficial for the long term longevity of the campaign and overall experience for everyone.
The contents of the application field are optional, but will help me understand your needs and preferences. Moving on to an interview right away is fine, but expect questions that will clarify these parameters.
I'm 31 years old and I have been DMing for nearly half of my life. I have a preference for 3.5, and a love of intricate plots and inference based show-don't tell and inference-based storytelling. I truly enjoy creating a compelling narrative through the cooperative storytelling D&D provides. I value consistency, and learning more about who you are, and what you like, will help me provide the best experience for you. So, don't be afraid to tell me a bit about yourself.
Please feel free to contact me through roll20 direct message, or on discord barry#7180.
I am open to full groups and other specific games or modules you or your group want to run. Please message me either here, or on discord, and we can work something out. I really am quite flexible and open to new ideas.
This game is played weekly, on Wednesdays. Generally speaking, a regular session will last for four hours and fifteen minutes, allowing for a fifteen minute break in the middle or when requested by someone involved in the game.
I accept payment on cashapp or zelle. I will provide the info for payment once all the details of your involvement are confirmed, before the first session you are to be a part of.
Payment for one session is $3/person/hour, or $12 per regular session per person. This is expected at least 24 hours before the session. Longer sessions can be arranged ahead of time, if every player unanimously agrees at the above rate.
If you are dissatisfied with the session and wish to leave the game, I allow a refund of that single session.
