About The Setting
Welcome to the wild world of Dragonlance! Enter Ansalon, a continent that has suffered long since the great cataclysm that shook the world, not only restructuring the land masses, but also marking the departure of the gods. Though some of the most devout claim to still draw power from these long forgotten gods, others have started to turn to newer gods to fill the gap. There are however events unfolding, things that will forever alter the future of the continent as the fate of the mortals there hang in the balance. Can the forces amassing be stopped, and what of the gods that were claimed to be lost, and is there any way to change the course of forces unseen preparing to alter this world forever? Find out in this 5e adaptation of the 3.5 Dragonlance Chronicles.
Campaign So Far
Starting in the small city of Staport, in the region of Southlund, a group of individuals found themselves thrust into action by a series of suspiciously interlinking events. Finding themselves brought before the Mayor of Starport, he offered to pay this group of individuals not only for their silence but also to become his personal strike force. Taking up the mantle, the group found themselves in a series of strange events as they became increasingly suspicious of the Mayor as well as learning of many strange things happening inside of Starport. Branching out from the city however, the group cleared out undead from a Temple of Paladine, ogres from a Temple of Mishakal, a Gnoll camp to save the town of Rening, and bandits building their forts near Starport. As concern with the Mayor grew however, the group found themselves trying to leave Starport behind as rapidly their past began to catch up with them. Thrust into facing the things they thought they left behind, the group deal with a growing amount of scenarios before one day they learned that Rening had been destroyed by an unknown army which was growing strength in the South. Making their way to the major city of Garnet, the group set out to find the army responsible, traveling into the Garnet Mountains to the dwarven stronghold of Spar, and ultimately to the ancient dwarven city Garnet Thax. It was there the group found what they hoped were those responsible, but instead found it had become a Beholder lair. The Beholder however was merely there to guard the remains of the ancient titan Draunn, buried beneath the mountains during the God-Titan Wars. Many of those living in the lair had fled their homes not wanting to be drawn into the army that was forming in the South. Returning to Garnet, the group informed the refugees of Rening of the refugees in Garnet Thax before heading to a rumored Tower of High Sorcery in Deepdel. Before reaching it however, the group found themselves hurled back through time to an unknown period as they currently try to piece together just what had happened.
About Me
I started playing D&D in Middle School when one of my friends brought in a book he had received. Unfortunately that didn’t last long since the book was confiscated, but I would pick it up again much later in life. I’ve been playing for a while and DMing for three years (in person until the pandemic) and have amassed a good flow of my campaign which has players just recently hitting Level 14, with a plan for them to reach Level 20.
My Style
I enjoy a good balance between RP and Combat, trying to find a good balance of the two, but differing to what players enjoy the most. Though I’m not phenomenal, I do try to emulate as many voices as possible to add to the immersiveness of the NPCs that will be encountered. The more indepth your character backstory, the deeper it can be woven into the story as it unfolds around the characters, with your character taking a main feature in many events built to make your backstory shine.
Why Pay to Play
By paying to play, allows me to continue my Roll20 subscription, and D&D Beyond subscription (if we can get someone with the books I can share out characters for a campaign), and to help cover my bills. Proceeds also help to pay for Patreon subscriptions to various Dungeondraft asset creators to help enhance the quality of in-game maps and for subscriptions to Inkarnate.
Acceptable Content
Most WotC-published books will be accepted (save things like Ravnica backgrounds), I'll do whatever I can to help make sure that we find a way to find your character into the setting.
