The Dragon of Icespire Peak is an introduction to Dungeons and Dragons that new and experienced players can enjoy. I encourage players to roleplay the hero they want to be as they join a party to encounter the challenge of this new world.
Our players will begin in the small town of Phandalin in the region of the Sword Coast. The Sword Coast has been in disarray since the arrival of a towering dragon that has taken over the mountains and disrupt the ecosystem of the region. The dragon has push roving bands of monsters, creatures, and chaos out of the mountain into the fray. In a world where there is so much chaos, there is possibility.
The characters will be created in D&D beyond during a free session 0 two days before the campaign begins and send their character sheets along with optional backstories they want to be incorporated in the story to me prior to session 1. I have pre-made characters that I made on D&D beyond in case someone chooses not to create their chracter. I can work to pass on those characters in session 0 and the player may roll their stats themselves. The characters in this session will be level one and the source book is set to handle characters up to level 5.
I will provide a master tier subscription on D&D beyond where I can share all of my books which gives all the subclasses and items for your characters!

To prepare for this game and get the most of the time, players should attempt to secure as good of an internet connection they can along with at least a mic and a webcam if they feel comfortable. The webcam is not required but I personally like seeing the look on players faces so I can gauge role play interactions and the performance of the session. The voice and video function of the game will be run through discord so please sign up for an account and become familiar with the platform. As this session is a beginner session, a complete reading of the rules is not required but becoming familiar with the play style and basics is highly recommended to make the most out of the players time.
