Chaos Rising (Bravo Team)

The tides of humanity wash against its many aggressors time and time again in what seems to be an unending war. The sands of time only barely eroding the power of the xeno, of the heretic, of the daemon. The never ending battle marches on with nearly no end in sight; except for one system. Drakkar.

Drakkar is a system on the further reaches of Ultramar, hidden to the rest of the galaxy and only revealed to our most holy Primarch Roboute Guilliman after he has had time to adjust his eyes to the filth and squalor the once great Imperium of Man has become; not much more than a pigsty where we feast on the refuse of the xeno and the heretic, slaughtered by the fat and lazy bulwark of the Imperiums vast nobility to feed their insatiable appetites. As he gazed upon this fetid thing we have made, in offense to our most glorious God Emperor of Mankind, his soul retched and his sight was befouled by its wretchedness. But we few knew this day would come, as the psykers have foreseen it. The day when a Primarch would see the glory of what we created, and what it has become. He has seen, Drakkar.

Hidden by the Recongregationist faction of the Inquisition, the system of Drakkar was named after its most promising planet, Drakkar. It is twice the size of the most Holy Terra, but with a similar day night cycle and almost exact gravity. Its lush, gorgeous and full of ancient human sites we have yet to uncover, riddled throughout with rich resources unlike we have ever seen before. 80 years ago today we started this project; to rebuild this infinitesimally part of our once great Imperium into its former glory.

We have data and cogitators held by our most esteemed Enginseers. They tell of the time before the fall, when all but two of our great Primarchs still loved our most holy Emperor. They tell of a time before the stink and rot fell upon us, before the claws of the heretic and xeno had such firm grips on our throats. We wish to rebuild this once more. Not as exactly was, but similar. And now 80 years later, we have established ourselves on 7 planets. 7 planets to house and show what our system of governance can do.

Now we must decide, my fellow Inquisitors. Will this be our last stand, or our final triumph? Will this holy sector show that humanity can be cleaned of its sin and brought to the light and love of our most holy Emperor? Or will it be the final cog in this great and terrible machine that plows through our hearts and hopes for one final time? We will stand. Like Cadia, we will stand. Like the great bullwarks of the most holy fortresses we. will. stand. Come brothers, and join our movement. Come see the glory that our Lord Inquisitor Geoff has wrought. Come see what our glorious Primarch has given his blessing and an entire chapter to guard our assailed borders. Let not the ork throw back our gates! Let not the Tyranid consume our world! Let not the Heretic and daemon once again foil the glorious future of the Imperium of man! Come and stand! Throw off the chains of sin, the weapons of our enemies and let. us. STAND!

Inquisitor Cain, speaking to his Inquisitorial staff during the private funeral of his previous agents.

Hello! Welcome to my 40k Saga! My name is Noah, but most people know me as Dinacow (it is my online pseudonym). I have been running TTRPG's since I was 16, and am 24 now. With a plethroa of experience in many different systems, I've decided to try running a 40k game as I noticed there is a big demand for it and I love the universe 40k is set in. I have done paid games before, and this will most certainly not be a dissapointment. To start I'll guarantee your first 1 on 1 free (it is a 2 hour mini session, just us, which is a part of the interview process but also gives you a good feel for how I gm) and after that you as a group will need to come up with my gming fee. I say all this up front so you know what to expect, as I am not a fan of beating around the bush. Now onto the game itself!

So about this. It's actually a saga, where we run through every warhammer 40k ttrpg (except dh2e) following and telling the story of the Drakkar sector through the lens of each rpg. Starting with DH2e, we then move to Deathwatch, then Only War, then Black Crusade (as heretics not marines), then finishing with rogue trader. It will be a long series of games with a whole lot to cover, so we will meet weekly only taking holiday weeks off. During certain games (only war and deathwatch) I will also be making myself for the tabletop wargame warhammer 40k, which will be a campaign series run alongside both of those games for those interested, in which case ill make myself available on Tuesdays for 2 or 3 hours to run that. The games will be Thursdays at 4pm EST, though there is some wiggle room on that in general since I can justify changing the time since I will be paid.

To start explaining the first game, Dark Heresy 2e, you will be playing as the newest recruited Acolytes for a one Inquisitor Cain (not Ciaphus, this is a different one). Recently, all of his Acolytes perished after a series of assassinations from an incredibly powerful crime family hired an insanely deadly hitwoman named Nobody by the local community. So he is recruiting you all into his band to handle some issues. First issue on the docket is removing the most powerful crime family from continuing to corrupt the Administratum and other local authorities. Petty crime can be left to the local authorities, but when the local authorities encourage the petty crime we involve ourselves. Once they are either destroyed or their grip removed from the throat of governance, I will present to you the next issue (dont want to spoil anything for you.) Mostly working against humans for the first of three acts in the first book of our saga.

Now to join, you don't need to just help pay my GM fee. You'll also need to complete an application and a lengthy interview process. See I like to create long lasting, well connected game groups where everyone can have fun and feel safe. To this end I try not to allow problematic people into my games in the first place, or even people my already accepted players might take issue with. So to show you a list of steps then explain them;
1. Submit Application. After review I will add you on discord if I like your app. If I don't, I will reply to your app and ask for the requested changes or outright deny you.
2. Discord interview. This is a chance to get to know me, my gming style and the general rules I use to keep a game fun and flowing. It's also my chance to get to know you and see if I think you are a good fit.
3. Group Interview. I allow you to join the discord and you begin chatting with any accepted members. If at anytime before the game begins, a majority of the current members give me a thumbs down, you will be denied. You also need to get them to give you approval before game start, which means they get a chance to pick your brain as well. My vote does count in this step of the process.
4. 1 on 1 test session. At this point you are all but accepted. You get a free 2 to 3 hour session going over some aspect of your characters backstory, usually your recruitment into the Inquisition. This is the final test so to speak, and is also your chance to see my gming in person. If other people are around, they will be able to listen in to give any final thumbs down; meaning they can still veto you during this time.

If you pass through all those, you can officially join and become one of the official members of the game. Only by breaking server and group rules will you ever be booted. The application will be posted on the LFG, so respond to it with answers as the application (following my example).
