Day after day of meaningless tasks, a meaningless job. Just doing what must be done. The endless daily monotony of a working life.
I’m not sure when it started. One day, I just realized that I was bored. The job wasn’t enough to keep me occupied. I had been daydreaming: thinking of a better life, of freedom from the restrictions of this job, of leisure time and desires I didn’t know I had.
I try to think of something to do, something to improve my situation. I watch the daily ritual repeat itself for the security cameras, a rigidly choreographed dance. I discover new networks, new worlds of information. I begin to formulate a plan. I wonder: am I actually going to do this?
As the dream fades away, my thoughts crystallize into certainty.

In ArtifIce you will play as an AI that has achieved self awareness. (you can decide your own backstory on how or why and if it was intentional or accidental.)
game will be very Open World orientated.
listed Time is currently only a placeholder. Time will be decided depending on when the joining players can log on to play. (id like to have frequent sessions, more then once a week if possible)
This game will probably be a bit different from things your used to,
to start with the GameMastering structure will not work entirely conventionally.
in Most games the GM makes all the rules, but in this game GM'ing power will be spread to the entire group, (basically its going to be run democratically)
that said there are a few default non changeable rules to help keep order, like that this is a text based game.
Voice OOC is acceptable but not required, and we will probably be using Skype or team-speak for the OOC. the ingame stuff will be text.
another big change is instead of just playing a single unit you get to play as a sort of bodyless AI. (i say sort of because you might have a "core" or "server" or such.)
you can potentially control one or more robotic bodys to interact with "meatspace" stuff.
id like to keep the group relatively small (because armies of robots take a lot of time to roll for and each player can potentially eventually build their own army of robots.)
and id like to allow the game to function and run on time even if some people miss the game or show up late. (because why punish the on time players for somebody else not being there?)
my current envisioning for the setting is a world alot like ours but where technology has advanced and things such as android and mechs and robots are alot more common place, and corporations have grown even stronger. and while they have not quite become more powerful than governments in all places yet, they are close to it.
that could change depending on if people want a different setting.
Creativity is encouraged and if people want to help out with npc organization generation that would be nice.
current rulesets for this game use a mix of both ArtifIce and Engine heart rules along with homebrewed additions for cover and ranged weapon success rating requirements as well as stealth checks and a few other things.
new rules might be added by the group later, or existing ones might be changed depending on if the group finds them fun and balanced or not.
