A steampunk pirate game for those who wish to sail the seas & skies in search of plunder and infamy! With added modules, a homebrew world designed for sky pirating, and an expanded plot to last the players from level 1 to 20!

SKULL & SHACKLES: STEAM PUNK EDITION
On the blue world of Thalassia, a world-ocean covers the whole of the planet. Rather than enormous continents, there are but archipelagos, with the largest islands rivaling only the size of Earth's own smaller nations. Above the frothing waves, however, float skyborne isles which witness seas of clouds against their borders, rather than the shining ocean itself. On, under, and far above the glittering seas, ships of every variety sail for gold, for adventure, and for conquest!
Here, lay the shattered realm of "The Shackles", a piece of the world once ruled over by an alliance of nations that now finds itself a lawless place; With but city-states and miniscule start-up empires ruling tiny patches, and the wild hand of luck controls the fates of those who dwell in between. A once bounteous collection of seaways and islands resting on ancient and strange ruins now sees an ever increasing pirate presence, and opportunities are plenty for those who seek to grow in power beyond the grip of the fledgling governments dotting the great blue.
Looming 'pon the highest of the floating isles is a shadowy nation of iron and smoke, whose imperialistic ambitions played no small part in the collapse of the alliance of kingdoms. A nation whose continued ambitions threaten the city-states and the pirates alike. Its ironclad ships patrol the skies, and bring with them ruin where ever they see fit. Though their plans remain unknown, one thing is for certain. The age of freedom on Thalassia may be seeing its final chapter.
WELCOME! Come and join us on a steam punk adventure, using a very, very heavily modified version of Paizo's Adventure Path: Skull & Shackles. In this AP you can expect the following:
Start at level 1 as you breath in the sea blown breeze as you and the party sails through Jeopardy Bay into the infamous, nefarious, but never boring Port Peril.
Obtain your first ship, and an island base of your very own!
Ply the sea and sky ways for prey as you work to upgrade your vessel, increase your wealth, improve your renown, and recruit strange and incredible figures through out the shackles to crew your ship or populate your island. Create the Shackles' busiest and richest port of call for all who fly the black flag while contending with rival pirate captains, hired privateers, strange beasts, and the naval forces of various nations!

Featuring a homebrewed setting, and a world which in many ways is different from Paizo's Golarion, and yet in other ways very familiar. I am looking for 6 players, which I consider to be the sweet spot for RP between session, as I will be hosting a discord server for text RP between sessions, as well as a once a week 4 hour session on Roll20. Text RP will be play by post between sessions, with no pressure on anyone to rush with responding or making rolls.
I will have a Co-DM, she will be handling many female NPC's, doing voices a guy like me just can't really do, helping with administrative decisions behind the scenes, providing me with general support, and might on occasion cover if I can't make a session for whatever reason but all players wish to play that evening anyways. Though, that last feature may not always be guaranteed either depending on her evening's schedule.
The price will be $15.00 USD per 4 hour session through Paypal. If a session 0 is required by the group, this session will be free. Otherwise, I will require payment after a normal session and before the next. If you are unhappy with the game you may opt to drop out of the campaign and not pay for your last session, but unless payment is received you may not return to the game for future sessions.
Depending on how things go, sessions may last longer than 4 hours on occasion. No extra charge will be added. If it looks like it may go over, players will vote on whether it does or not. This is for instances such as a major battle or other similarly important scenes are in the middle of being resolves when the time comes up.
Please note, this is a mature game. Please be 18+. If I find you are a minor I will remove you from the game and there will be no refund. Please do not harass my co-DM just because she is a woman. Please treat everyone with respect. Please do not bring up politics, religion, or other similarly touchy subjects in the server or at the virtual table.
