Idos

Idos, the island continent, was once a land of criminals and disorder. That was until the Dragon Lord, Immastas Xarmorn, the Ever-burning Flame, The Golden God King, marched his glorious army across the continent. Through fire and blood, they conquered Idos, cementing Immastas as the ruler. He know sits, protected, in the Dragonbone Fortress, in the capital city of Tarbu. That was 50 years ago.

But that’s of little concern to you now. Your lives are the fields, the crops, and the animals. You are one of many slaves working to feed those better than yourselves. You will live in the lands of Sir Aurman Daystalker, you will work here, you will grow old here and you will die here. That is your lot in life. You may marry, should you wish, but Sir Aurman holds the right of Prima Nocta and any and all children born are his property. Magic is strictly forbidden, and all slaves must wear their black steel bracelets at all times, just in case anyone should get any ideas. And ignore any rumours you may have heard about some slaves being able to break these bindings.

Everything in the fields, including you, are the property of Sir Aurman and, as such, anything found that may contain value must be reported to the Masters. Failure to do so will result in severe punishment. You are permitted to eat the food the Masters deem of a quality not appropriate for Sir Aurman and will live in the shelter provided. Be thankful for this kindness, as you all know what dangers lurk in the night…

Just remember your place. If you step out of line, you will very quickly be put back in it. If you feel you are better than your job, we will find someone else to do it and you will become obsolete.

Take this as your one and only warning.

GM Note: Don't worry, the bracelets aren't permanent, provided you go along with the story.
