First Responders is an original module written for use in the Cyberpunk RED universe -- an assembly of thieves, corporate agents and nomads brought together for a singular purpose -- a job where the pay is too good to just pass on, and by a real Fixer, not just one of those wannabes on the street. This collection of like-minded individuals -- the players -- have been approached for a hit job, but it's far from ordinary.
Our players will take on a high-paying gig for Councilman Garven Haakensen, a high-level politician in our setting, Night City. They'll have a shortlist of objectives to accomplish ahead of the heist and the freedom to handle those objectives however they see fit.
As they uncover more information during the prep, the strings connecting all the players on the board will begin to unravel -- corporations will enter the fray, gangs will get in your way, and the stakes will raise for all of our players as time goes on. Only you as a group can decide whether the money is worth the blood, sweat and tears.
The First Responders module is a comprehensive and organic module that binds our players together for a common drive: making the money they all need for their big break. Whether that's for an altruistic goal in their backstory, the funds they need for revenge, or simply just their unchecked avarice, our players will be able to use their unique classes, experience and specialties to complete this heist.
This campaign is light on puzzles and more focused on intrigue and combat. Players will have to uncover NPC motivations, think one step ahead of their competition, and be quick on their feet if -- when -- things go wrong.
First Responders has been field tested with another group and can typically be finished within two to three months, schedules permitting. The campaign was originally run in Roll20 with Discord voice chat, but with the technical advances and recent updates, this campaign can also be run within TaleSpire.
This is a great campaign for players who want the thrill of a modern/futuristic setting, simple mechanics, fast-paced combat and the joy of taking on a heist.
