Eshara | The Ruin Bound

Where We Begin

Looking for a fifth to fill out our adventuring party!

We're an established group that have played together for several months and are looking for a fifth to join us on our adventures. The story so far has the party employed by an arch wizard to seek out and find a set of dangerous and powerful magical artifacts before shadowy organizations get their hands on them and use them for nefarious purposes. The group has found and retrieved two so far (after a few gnarly incidents) - but there are several more out in the world.

The group is currently made up of: a Human Light Cleric, a Fire Genasi Sorcerer, a Harengon Fighter, and an Earth Genasi Kensei Monk.

This is an open-ended campaign where you'll have the opportunity to explore a vast continent, uncover secrets of the past, and maybe even save the world!

General Info

  • First session is free
  • Currently level 9 (planned end around 19-20)
  • All published WotC content is allowed, and I'm open to homebrew.
  • Currently used homebrew includes new races and class options and will be shared when you join the game!
  • Monster races are allowed and are not uncommonly seen in cities
  • Sessions will run ~3 hours with a 10 minute break at the halfway mark
  • Opportunity for RP, puzzles, combat, and of course a heavy dose of fun!
  • We will use Discord for voice and Roll20 for maps. D&D Beyond material available.

This is an inclusive game. Players of all experience levels are welcome. I am more than happy to help with character creation or anything else if you need a hand!

A bit about me

My name is Bee! I've been DMing for about seven years now and absolutely love everything about d&d. I personally favor a good mix of RP and combat, and encourage players to roleplay as much as possible. I definitely lean more towards a sandbox type of game; I may plan and have a plot prepared, but my players set the pace and drive the story forward. I'm fairly laid back and use the "rule of cool" within reason. TL;DR I'm someone that loves to have a good time and play pretend with some like minded folks ^_^

A bit of background of my world

Eshara is a shattered world made of a continent floating high above an endless sea below, and smaller floating islands peppered high above it. Eshara was not always this way, it once was a normal world much like the Earth we know, before an event known as The Cataclysm happened. No living soul knows exactly what happened during the Cataclysm, for it happened over a thousand years ago. The inhabitants have since moved on and learned to cope with their changed new world and only legends of what happened remain.
The setting is fairly high-magic in current day, and has many "lost" magics to be rediscovered from before the Cataclysm. For the most part it's a light-hearted, swords-and-sorcery, whimsical style setting with the focus being on epic adventures and of course the party themselves. But you'll find a sprinkling of intrigue, horror, mystery and random other genres as well.

Why should you pay for a DM?

When you pay for a session, you know that not only will the DM arrive on time and prepared for the game, but so will all of the other players! Everyone has a vested interest in playing and we can avoid the awkwardness that comes with no-shows or people busy checking their phone or refreshing social media feeds since everyone has paid to be here and wants to get their money's worth. I, as the DM, am always willing to help you with anything. From character creation to learning the ropes of Roll20 or just simple questions, I'm at your disposal and am here to make sure everyone has a great time.

Payment will be made via Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, or Cashapp at least 24 hours before the game.
