What makes the campaign unique?
Six things: 1. Revised versions of Candlekeep Mysteries adventures for a tougher challenge and richer story, 2. art and music assets for added atmosphere, 3. Single campaign narrative weaving in character backstories, 4. Key player choices that impact the overall storyline, 5. Optional play-by-post elements between adventures that grant small rewards (inspiration, lore, hints, potions, minor gear), 6. Short campaign of 3-5 sessions (two players have been with the campaign since the beginning, a third joined us last session).

When do you play, and how often?
We play every other week on Saturday at 1 PM EST for approximately 3 hours, with a 10 minute break about midway. Of note, we use voice but not video.

HOW LONG HAS THIS CAMPAIGN BEEN GOING?
We've played 9 three-hour sessions thus far every two weeks, and we also played a bit in our group Session 0.

Who are you, and how long have you been a DM?
I'm Justin, a folklore and Greek mythology nerd who’s been DMing since around 2018. I always aim for a rich story that changes based on player choice, with unique assets (art, music, battlemaps) to aid the atmosphere. Of note, I do not use Dynamic Lighting in this campaign due to bugginess.

How do I apply?
Player applications are welcome in the forum below. Please note that players must complete a one-on-one Discord chat with me and then request to join the campaign in Startplaying.games before they are invited to the campaign Discord server, Roll20 game, and D&D Beyond campaign. This one-on-one chat will go over campaign rules, expectations, and content warnings, and also helps me get a sense of what the player is like and if the player will be a good fit for the group.

What are the rules for your campaign?
*No homophobic, racist, sexist, transphobic, harassing or otherwise offensive language. No backseat DMing, interrupting or talking over others (intentionally and repeatedly), rules lawyering (though quick corrections are welcome), or meta commentary.
*New characters at this point in the campaign will start at Level 5 and begin with one uncommon or rare magic item of their choice, a potion healing, and 300 gold pieces to spend on equipment or keep as currency.
*Stats can be generated by Standard Array or Point Buy (27) or, if you really want, stat rolls (roll 4d6, drop the lowest).
*No homebrew or Magic: The Gathering content (Ravnica, Strixhaven, Theros) or Unearthed Arcana.
*Characters and subclasses from most Wizards of the Coast official published sourcebooks are ok, but optional class rules from Tasha’s will not be allowed.
*Players can consume a potion as a bonus action, but giving a potion to another takes a full action.
*Players can freely swap out weapons (note this weakens the Dual Wielder feat)
*Once per long rest, players can gain mechanical benefits from eating well-prepared food or drinking well-prepared drink (for example, temporary hitpoints, minor stat boosts, resistance to certain types of damage).
