The Temple of Elemental Evil

The Village of Hommlet thrives again. Years ago, this quaint village nearly fell prey to a great, neighboring evil. The nearby Temple of Elemental Evil, a grand edifice of wickedness, was defeated after a great battle and thrown into ruin forever…or was it?

About the Game

• I am running the legendary module The Temple of Elemental Evil set in the world of Greyhawk.
• This is an ongoing campaign, with the players having recently arrived in the shunned village of Nulb, the nearest settlement to the Temple of Elemental Evil.
• This game started as OSE Advanced, but recently switched to WHITEHACK 4th EDITION, an OSR-compatible ruleset that allows some freedom and customization of character builds.
• We use roll20 for maps, initiative tracker, character creation and sheets, and dice rolls.
• We use Discord for voice chat, a working microphone is required.
• Our sessions will be roughly 2 or 2.5 hours weekly on Tuesday nights.
• Because our OOC banter can get a little PG-13, we ask all applicants be 18 years of age or older
• This game will be played every week except for some breaks for me to prepare things and do upkeep
• This game is very fun and you will like to play it, I promise :D

Game Expectations

• My Dungeon Master style is "rulings over rules." There will inevitably be times where I do something "wrong" or "not like it says in the DMG".
• The atmosphere isn't "DM VS Player" we're all friends here.
• This isn't a PvP game
• The game alignment is "Good" or at least well-meaning neutral. The Temple of Elemental Evil is objectively bad, etc.
• Our group enjoys roleplay, and characters are expected to have a personality and interact with each other and the game world.
• ToEE is an older and famous module, but don't use your pre-existing knowledge of the module. We'll know right away if someone just happens to know where all the secret doors are lol
• Our table atmosphere is pretty light. We like to laugh and joke around, as long as people are taking the world and the roleplay seriously. Above all else, we like players that are cool, like to roleplay and get along with the group
