Mad Mage Mondays

The Adventure: Dungeon of the Mad Mage

Next session will be the 2nd of Dungeon of the Mad Mage! The party consists of a Barbarian, Swashbuckler, Peace Cleric, Scribes Wizard and Swarmkeeper Ranger! Room for 1 more players to fill out the party!

Dungeon of the Mad Mage:
In the city of Waterdeep rests a tavern called the Yawning Portal, named after the gaping pit in its common room. At the bottom of this crumbling shaft is a labyrinthine dungeon shunned by all but the most daring adventurers. Known as Undermountain, this dungeon is the domain of the mad wizard Halaster Blackcloak. Long has the Mad Mage dwelt in these forlorn depths, seeding his lair with monsters, traps, and mysteries—to what end is a constant source of speculation and concern.

Travel through the 23 levels of the Undermountain and visit the unground refugee of Skullport in this deadly adventure!

The Game:

-We will hold a Session 0 to get to know each other, and work on character creation/party formation. Session 0 will be free.
-Dungeon of the Mad Mage is a fun and challenging old-school dungeon crawl with a lot of surprises for the genre to mix things up! Characters will start at level 1 and continue all the way through 20 for the culmination of the adventure!
-New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Roll20 or 5e!
-Due to the challenge of this adventure, character deaths are to be expected. Please be ok with that. If your character dies, you will be making a new character of the same level. Ideally you will all have a few backups in mind.
-Optional Variant rules will be decided upon by the party in session 0. I generally use +2 to hit for flanking for more tactical combat, if the party wishes.
-This will be a combat heavy game, being an old fashioned mega-dungeon crawl. I consider myself skilled at running interesting/challenging combat. I will customize the difficulty of the combat based on the party's wishes/composition.
-For RP, I am a firm believer that intra-party RP is some of the most entertaining/rewarding available, which means I will often step out of the way to allow this to happen.
-Sessions will last 3-4 Hours.
-Discord for Voice Chat
-The Roll20 Module/Dynamic Lighting will be fully used. Additionally, I will be using Custom Maps which are an improvement over the Roll20 Module
-Tweaked enemies, don't expect everything to be exactly ripped from the books!

Your DM:

What is expected of you?

-Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. No graphic sexual content. Players who violate this Social Contract will be removed.
-Be in it for the long haul. This campaign will likely take around a year, dependent on the party's playstyle.
-Be on time, as this is basic respect for myself and the others. Missing a session will be allowed with prior notice, with no charge.
-Have a reasonable quality microphone (be intelligible), Discord and use push to talk. (I can assist you in setting this up)

Pay to Play:

-15$ Per Player Per Session (Excluding Session 0), paid via Paypal in advance.
-This is my full time job. I treat it as such with the proper dedication and preparation. I am available for questions on Discord much of the time outside of my sleep hours.

-Otherwise I don't feel the need to convince you as to why P2P has its benefits, as you probably wouldn't have read this far if you didn't already know! Look forward to seeing you all in game!
