Citizens of the free city of Zobeck are going missing! Catacombs beneath the streets may provide answers, but what lurks in them may not enjoy company…Who will uncover and stop the foul and ghoulish workings? Will you have the fortitude and ambition—or the greed and cunning—it takes to put a stop to them?

Empire of the Ghouls is a complete campaign for characters level 1 to 13 for 5th edition created and written by Kobold Press, a third party publisher with an excellent reputation for quality! The adventure itself offers an epic journey from a small town to cultish dungeons and into the heart of the underworld!

Sharpen your blade and conjure your magical light to root out the foulness below the earth!

The Game:

-We will hold a Session 0 to get to know each other, and work on character creation/party formation. Session 0 will be free.
-Empire of the Ghouls has several content warnings which can be found on the Kobold Press website. Suffice it to say that if you need a content warning, this adventure is likely not a good match for you.
-New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Roll20 or 5e!
-Due to the challenge of this adventure, character deaths are to be expected. Please be ok with that. If your character dies, you will be making a new character of the same level. Ideally you will all have a few backups in mind.
-Optional Variant rules will be decided upon by the party in session 0. I generally use +2 to hit for flanking for more tactical combat, if the party wishes. I also use rules such as bonus action potions, overun, etc.
-This will be a combat heavy game. I consider myself skilled at running interesting/challenging combat. I will customize the difficulty of the combat based on the party's wishes/composition.
-For RP, I am a firm believer that intra-party RP is some of the most entertaining/rewarding available, which means I will often step out of the way to allow this to happen.
-Sessions will last 3-4 Hours.
-Discord for Voice Chat
-The Roll20 Module/Dynamic Lighting will be fully used.
-Tweaked enemies, don't expect everything to be exactly ripped from the books!

Your DM:

-7 Year's Experience Running 5th Edition
-Available nearly 24/7, excluding my sleep hours. Always willing to answer questions.
-Good Connection/Headset/Microphone
-Full Player's compendium for your convenience, including the Underworld Player's Guide, the official player's guide with extra options for the campaign!

What is expected of you?

-Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. No graphic sexual content. Players who violate this Social Contract will be removed.
-Be in it for the long haul. This campaign will likely take around a year, dependent on the party's playstyle.
-Be on time, as this is basic respect for myself and the others. Missing a session will be allowed with prior notice, with no charge.
-Have a reasonable quality microphone (be intelligible), Discord and use push to talk. (I can assist you in setting this up)

Pay to Play:

-15$ Per Player Per Session (Excluding Session 0), paid via Paypal in advance.
-This is my full time job. I treat it as such with the proper dedication and preparation. I am available for questions on Discord much of the time outside of my sleep hours.

-Otherwise I don't feel the need to convince you as to why P2P has its benefits, as you probably wouldn't have read this far if you didn't already know! Look forward to seeing you all in game!
