Vampire: The Masquerade

Session 3 - The Court's Coterie

ABOUT GAMEPLAY

This is a free to play, west marches style game. Game days may be slightly irregular (hey, free to play) as to when I have time to play. Could be daily at times and weekly at others but will not be longer than 2 weeks between games and hopefully be quite regular (dice gods permitting). West Marches tend to go well with this style of game so don't panic if you miss a few games, your character will always be there :) So if you see this game is a few hours from starting, drop on in and let your darker side shine for a few hours ...you may like it ;)

I intend the game to be a little fast and loose for the lore and a bit slower for the character development with emphasis on RP. I know quite a bit of the lore for VtM but I am in no way an expert and do not expect any of my players to be either. If you are after a lore heavy type of game, this probably won't be one for you, if you love vampire popular culture then I promise this game will be for you!

The game will start at an early period (1600's), skipping a few decades every milestone leading up to modern times, this way the players can sire at appropriate ages, hopefully creating some really interesting power dynamics. Ideally you will start (albeit briefly) as a mortal and turned IG either by a player if they're of the clan you want or an NPC if there are no PC's of the clan you want (the former is the cooler but obviously not always possible).

This will come with caveats for the older generations, your character will be a product of their time, for example vampires from before the end of the enlightenment will have strong superstitions like fearing holy symbols, not entering houses before being invited, etc. This will require some forethought before generating your character.

ABOUT THE GAME

It is New Year's Day, January 1st 1600, London. Queen Elizabeth I is rumored to be in ill health and people questions in hushed whispers of who the next reigning monarch could be, a talented playwright by the name of William Shakespeare is gaining fame at the Globe Theatre and talk abounds of demons walking the streets of London.

The affluent Lord Danton and his mysterious associate Art have just procured new initiates for the ongoing struggle to rid Prince Mithras' domain of the undesirables he despises so fiercely, though they know little of the plans laid out for them, they soon will...
