Call of the Netherdeep (Sunday)

About the DM:
My name is Ash, and I've been playing and DMing on Roll20 for about 8 years now. I've played everything from Pathfinder 1e to D&D 5e, and have run several campaigns for close friends. I'm looking for interested and invested players that would like to engage in a living world. I love new players, and have an infinite resource of patience for teaching, and for tomfoolery if that is what makes everyone have fun. This campaign will lean toward narrative, but still contains a lot of challenging and engaging combat encounters.

Things you should know:
o I try to run every week, for at least 3 hours. There's a good chance we run over if everyone's awake enough and something big is happening, but I'll never force you to stay around if you need to call it quits for the night. Presently I'm aiming for 5 PST on Sundays, but if there's enough interest we can move that. If you can't make it, try to warn me in advance and we can decide whether to run without you, or cancel.
o You will be starting at level 3, and character creation will be standard - but generous. I'll let you roll for stats twice, and if you don't like either, you can standard point buy. (No homebrew, no UA unless you're incredibly convincing.)
o The setting is incredibly diverse, and things like non-evil Drow and monstrous races are not just common, but encouraged as choices.
o We'll be using Discord for communication, as well as most of the nitty-gritty of scheduling and notekeeping. This doesn't mean I'm averse to maintaining handouts and calendar scheduling on roll20, Discord is just a better way for everyone to stay up to date.
o I won't charge for session 0, as I don't want to force anyone to commit to something without at least feeling it out first. We'll do character creation together, assuming everyone can make it on time.

Excerpt from the game:
The greed of mortals has awakened a powerful entity long thought destroyed. For eons, this mighty champion of the gods has been imprisoned in the darkest depths of Exandria. His name has been forgotten, as have his heroic deeds. Languishing in despair, he calls out for new heroes to save him.

Inspired by the campaigns of the hit series Critical Role, this adventure begins in the Wastes of Xhorhas and leads to the glimmering oasis-city of Ank’Harel on the continent of Marquet, and from there into a sunken realm of gloom, corruption, and sorrow known as the Netherdeep. Above it all, the red moon of Ruidus watches, twisting the fates of those who have the power to shape the course of history.

Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep contains seven chapters of thrilling adventure, new creatures and magic items, and a poster map of Ank’Harel.

o First major adventure module within Critical Role’s world of Exandria, taking players from levels 3-12.
o Multi-continental story that spans the scarred Wastes of Xhorhas, introduces the continent of Marquet, and eventually plunges players into the Netherdeep—a terrifying cross between the Far Realm and the deep ocean.
o Bursting with lore and all new art depicting Exandria.
o Includes new magic items and creatures and introduces new rival NPCs.
