Preface
=======
Welcome to the Agents of Edgewatch Adventure Path! As a player in this campaign, you'll get to take on the exciting role of a city guard in Absalom, the City at the Center of the World. You'll be responsible for mediating interpersonal disputes before they become violent, protecting the people of your city from nefarious crooks and rampaging monsters, and arresting criminals who flout Absalom's laws. With the safety of the city in your hands, you'll need to muster bravery, wit, and heart in order to see that justice is fairly dealt.
The Adventure Path kicks off at the outset of the highly anticipated Radiant Festival, Absalom's once-a-century world fair. It's your first day as members of the Edgewatch, the newly formed guard unit responsible for ensuring the safety of not only Absalom's residents but also the countless visitors attending the festival. Your hands might seem full enough at first with just the matters of the fairgrounds in the partially restored Precipice Quarter, but as the campaign progresses, you'll quickly find yourself visiting many other parts of the city in order to pursue an increasingly dire investigation. If you're looking for adventures full of high-octane action, intriguing NPC interactions, and a sprawling urban backdrop, then you've come to the right Adventure Path!

In this campaign, players take on the responsibilities of actual city guards, so some of the time-honored traditions of player characters might need to be adjusted to accommodate for your unique role as law keeper. First and foremost, your character should strive to uphold the law. This Adventure Path is not appropriate for evil characters or those with no regard for justice. The adventures' events assume that you are an agent of justice protecting the public first and foremost, not a double-crosser or an abuser of power. There is room in the campaign for an officer who sometimes bends the rules, but such characters should do so to ensure the safety of the people of Absalom and do right by them.
I'm Autumn and I've been a DM for over a decade. I'm a composer by trade and I love mixed-media storytelling. I've written for games, ensembles, orchestras, and personal pleasure~. Something you might notice about this campaign is my heavy use of sound and music, whether it be written by yours truly or sourced from the myriad of libraries out in the ether. It's one of my main skill sets and I lean into it heavily!
I tend to be pragmatically minded and if there is a better way to do things I'm quick to change. I pride myself on my willingness to listen and my ability to help wordsmith during conversations. I truly do love collaborative storytelling and I get immense joy from empowering my players. I want you to be immersed, holding your breath, tearing from the losses, laughing at the shenanigans, and cheering for the victories.
I want this campaign to be a safe haven for all colors of the LGBTQ+ spectrum! Roleplaying is meant to be an exploration of a fantastical world, unique characters, and even yourself. I want people to feel safe to express themselves and to try things they might otherwise be afraid to do in real life.
Personal Stories: If you give me a prompt I will write for it! If there is any space to interweave your characters' backstories into the fabric of this story I will. This is your story and I will make it personal for you.
Flexible Rules: My priority with rules is to keep things balanced and the story beats relevant, outside of that the rule of cool reigns supreme. If flexing the rules enhances the story I'm one to bend them.
Clear Communication: I'm a punctual DM who values open and timely communication with my players. If you message me I'll probably reply in an hour.
Roleplay Heavy: Though this adventure path does have a good balance of both combat and roleplay, I personally lean heavier toward roleplay.
Dynamic Maps: Enjoy official and homemade maps with customized lighting API
Atmospheric Music: Immerse yourself in the game with its carefully selected music. I might even write something personalized for your characters!
Session Length: Games will last approximately 3-4 hours per session with a break inbetween
Payment: Payment for each session is due before game
