Dungeons of Drakkenheim (Wed)

DRAKKENHEIM IS NO MORE. An eldritch storm of falling stars devastated the city on that woeful eve, leaving behind a meteorite that would have lasting effects. Fifteen years later, Drakkenheim is a dismal urban wasteland contaminated by otherworldly magic and haunted by hideous monsters. Fantastic wealth, lost knowledge, and powerful artifacts lie ready for the taking by adventurers brave or foolish enough to venture into the ruins. However, even those who survive the dangers of Drakkenheim may not return unmarked by its terrors! The Dungeons of Drakkenheim is a fantastic adventure set in a gothic renaissance ruined city, destroyed by a meteor of unknown eldritch origin that has left the city in complete ruin, inhabited by mutated monsters and eldritch contamination. Five factions vie for control of the city and resources, each with their own goals. Characters will go on many adventures into and around the ruins as they seek fame, fortune, power, knowledge, redemption, perhaps even the crown.

I have been playing and DMing Dungeons and Dragons for more years than I would like to count and the Dungeons of Drakkenheim campaign has become my favorite out of all of the campaigns I have run over the year. From the minds of the Dungeon Dudes, the campaign is spectacular combination of eldritch horror, faction intrigue, and classic D&D exploration and action. You will face a solid mix of intense social encounters as well as deadly combats against eldritch monsters, malfeasant mages, and other creatures as you weave your way through the complex machinations of the various factions trying to control the ruined city. Character history and personal goals play a central role in this campaign and choices and actions you take will reverberate throughout the length and breadth of the campaign.
