Waterdeep Dragon Heist: Remix

A game of D&D 5e using the Waterdeep Dragon Heist module as a base with modifications using the remix to expand and make the game more dynamic. This adventure is an urban based adventure delving into the criminal underbelly of Waterdeep seeing the players take on a host of foes to acquire a vast fortune.

Hello everyone,

I am hoping to host a game of Waterdeep Dragon Heist using a remix to shake things up and make the module much more exciting.

A little information about myself and the game

I am a long time DM who is looking to play again after a short hiatus. I am open to new players and veterans alike and am looking forward to having a fun game and ease back into DMing. I am looking to try and run a remix of the base adventure, so it would differ a little from the book. I think its still probably best if you have not experienced the base adventure anways, but if you have I think it will be nonetheless a fun experience.

This game is for you if
-Like a mix of combat and role playing
-Like cinematic style game play that isn't bogged down by accounting
-Want to role play an urban adventure

I am a DM who is a fan of the rule of cool and fun. The rules are there to help facilitate the game but rules can be bent in the name of fun. That being said I don’t usually run my games very gritty, I prefer a more fantasy/action movie type approach. I would also say my games are typically PG-13 level style story telling. Before a game starts I would certainly like to talk to all the players about their individual needs and expectations.

Game scheduling and characters
I am open to rescheduling play frequency, dates and number of characters as needed but in general the following applies:

-weekly games Thursday evenings starting at 8:00 pm
-approximately 3 hour session times
-3-6 players

When generating characters there will be a session 0 to adresse any concerns but some general considerations

-I'll allow anything from published material, not third party
-Characters start at level 1
-Character advancement will be done using milestones
-character creation should be done using either point buy or standard array for attributes.

If you are interested please send me a message or post in the player application forum. I would be very happy to discuss the game or answer any questions you might have.
