Princes of the Apocalypse

The Dessarin Valley, a quiet, frontier region removed from the hustle and bustle of the Sword Coast, is a region of hardy people who simply want to live peaceful lives. Of late, however, it seems the elements themselves have turned against them. Torrential thunderstorms have destroyed homes and ruined crops. Earthquakes, once a rarity in the region, have become commonplace. Forest fires seem to turn into blazing infernos at the slightest spark. And the normally calm banks of the Dessarin River have begun to flood for the first time in generations.

Unbeknownst to the peoples of the region, cults dedicated to Elemental Evil have formed under the leadership of four powerful prophets. Using powerful artifacts imbued with the essence of the Elemental Planes, these prophets hope to summon the Princes of Evil Air, Earth, Fire, and Water to decimate the Valley and then all of Faerûn.

A group of heroes must assemble to bring down the cults and stop the prophets before it is too late. The fate of the Dessarin Valley, nay, all of Toril, depends on their heroics.

ABOUT THE GAME

Princes of the Apocalypse is a 5th-edition retelling of Gary Gygax's AD&D adventure, The Temple of Elemental Evil. Characters will begin at 1st or 3rd level, depending on the decision of the group, and advance to level 15 by the end of the campaign. This campaign features political intrigue, both among the various cults and the Factions trying to stop them, powerful monsters, and a great deal of dungeon delving.

Timeslot: Saturdays beginning at 9 AM CST and running for 3-4 hours.
Campaign Setting: Forgotten Realms
Content Allowed: All WOTC material allowed. Races not native to Toril will require DM approval. UA and Homebrew material will require DM approval.
