Dragonlord Uprising: Outreach

15 years ago the grand battle between evil and good occurred, and evil won.

For millennia, the Dragonlords, god-like beings of immense power, stood as the world's guardians, their ranks divided between the noble Metallic Lords and more ignoble Chromatic Dragonlords. Thalariel the Radiant -now Thalariel the Tyrant or Empress Thalariel- would betray not only her fellow Dragonlords but her own commitment to peace and tranquility, forming a pact with Tiamat, slaughtering all other Dragonlords and setting out to conquer the world... where she has overwhelmingly succeeded.

It has now been Fifteen years into the cruel reign of Empress Thalariel, the lands groan under the yoke of her despotic rule, and the echoes of fallen Dragonlords haunt a world teetering on the brink of oblivion. In this darkest hour, hope flickers in the most unlikely of places—a stolen egg of a Golden Dragon from Tiamat's endless horde.

You are summoned by Andus, the last Grand Master of the Dragon Guard and a once-faithful servant to Nero the Golden. Bearing the weight of his fallen lord's legacy, Andus entrusts you with a quest that could ignite the flames of rebellion and usher in a new chance against tyranny. With the stolen dragon egg as your beacon, you must venture into the frozen reaches of the Iskaldur Outreach, a land of frigid wilderness, terrible scars and a defeated people tasked to find the lost heir of Nero who'll be the final silver bullet the forces of good will ever get.

But the path to salvation is fraught with peril. Empress Thalariel's hands stretch everywhere, her Chromatic Guard relentless and cruel. To rally the forces of freedom and stand against a tyrant who has conquered the world and tied her very essence with Tiamat, you'll need more than just courage. You'll need to unearth ancient powers, forge unlikely alliances, awaken the dormant might within yourselves and most importantly find the lost heir as the battle is hopeless without them.

Prepare to embark on a journey where the very fate of the world hangs in the balance. Face trials that will test your mettle, your heart, and your soul. In this age of darkness, will you be inspire the beacon of hope? Time will tell.

Now with the elevator pitch done, gonna be giving some of what looking in for game but first if you are paying attention here is a code phrase to put at the top of your application so I'll give you higher priority: "Butter" I'll have the two other words underlined, in quotes and bolded in Codex and Homebrew Rules so you know what to put in the rest of your application... anyways getting off topic

Points of Clarification:
- Notice some people make errors understanding setting so making a bit of clarification
- Dragonlords are not Dragons, they are descendants of Solmer, TLDR Solmer managed to connect with the Godhead Io and banish the horrible influence of Primordial Gods -which were nightmares spawned from Io's sleep-... Dragonlords merely have a dragon that is effectively soul bound to them and that they can merge together with and become one, greater than either individual whole. Think Eragon if familiar with it.
- Solmer's original 12 children were divied up, 5 given Tiamat becoming Chromatic Dragonlords, 5 Given to Bahamut becoming Metallic Dragonlords, 1 to Primus and 1 left to her own devices, becoming the goddess Hlal.
- All Dragonlords are dead without exception, Thalariel and Tiamat killed them all in the Tyrant War
- You can only get a Dragonmark from a Dragonlord or from one of Thalariel/Tiamat's Proxies within the cloaks.
- Eclipse Marches is basically Equivalent of Catachan or Black Marsh
- Jeondo, as name and branding implies, is asian inspired, heavy inspiration coming from L5R Rokugan
- Verdant Vale is inspired from classical medieval europe with each nation of the Vale represented by their Elector Count who is effectively the Lord or King of the Region.
- Azure Coast is inspired by Deadfire Archipelago (POE2) mixed with Renaissance Italy
- iskaldur is akin to Skyrim (lore, not game as they kind of fucked it up -exception of Solstheim-, not in slightest with that representation)
- Wildheroot is derived from Valenwood and mix of Faewilds
- Silvermist is derived from Summerset Isles with high elves effectively having a white man's burden complex with rest of races
- Umbral Shores and dark elves are inspired from Naggaroth WH Fantasy, but with more of a Mercenary Kings emphasis. Aside from their cruel decadence they are rather amicable and very loving of the arts... though they'll always assume -like the High Elves- that if a piece of art is good or well made it must've been done or supervised under Elven Hands.
- Ebor Peaks with Dwarven Empire inspired from DAO dwarves except with empire actually being fully collapsed and in ruins due to Tyrant War.
- Brass Sands is inspired by Middle East pre Islam in both aesthetic, culture and mythos.

What looking for in game:
- Decent Mic, I don't want earrape or constant static when running this game.
- Must have Discord as this is how will be doing voice for the game as well as organizing and chatting
- Attempt to put a focus on doing what is cool or interesting in play or story over doing what is optimal (don't care too much of power gaming as long as character is engaging and isn't an annoying gary or mary stu, yes I know how ironic given the whole chosen one vibe with set up of game)
- Being somewhat amicable with other players, try not to be a dick... I know it can be hard... but please give it a good ol' college try!
- Someone who doesn't blindside me with missing sessions without warning
- Good Aligned or Neutral Characters dedicated to stopping the current age of Tyranny

What should expect:
- 40/40/20 Split between Combat, Roleplay and Extraneous (Puzzles, Exploration, Etc.)
- Maps, I like to use maps for everything, either custom built with Dungeondraft or prepackaged. If don't use a map expect a relevant backdrop unless I'm really blindsided with where go and what do
- Occasional Crass humor, if can't handle a "certain style of humor" at times then this isn't the game for you
- A Nobledark style of game.
- Starting level of 8, game has been going on for a while
- DM that has been doing this shindig since his early years of High School
- If you make another thread or create a post in anything other than Applications or Questions you are not getting into this game.

Current Party Set-up is...
- Alchemist Barbarian Lizardfolk (Blackscale) who asserts his own pride above all else, even to his own detriment and seeks to heal a pride wound by finding the Dragonlord Heir.
- Druid Goblin who was born of the incredibly rare variety of blue and is very civil (green goblins murder blue babies always often through drowning), is quite the avid smoker and is arguably the most useful member of the party through his sneaky support
- A Jeondian Samurai whose lord was taken from him and who seeks to restore his blemished honor by finding the heir of Nero and avenging the death of his master.
- A former Chromatic Guard Warlock/Draconic Sorcerer who seeks absolution for his deeds, helping the rebellion however he can.

Party Current State:
The party is currently scouting and involving themselves in the affairs of Iskaldur's most prominent and largest coast city in the Eastern Half, Vindfjord a city of over a hundred thousand residents. It's capture would allow a significant strategic position as well as access to General Kaladan's surviving forces within the remnants of Lumina, the Solstain Badlands, to further support the budding resistance movement of Iskaldur.
The party has chosen to ingratiate themselves in the affairs of the city by participating in gladiatorial matches to build a name for themselves as well as potentially get access to higher profile individuals within the city they may be able to utilize in the coming conquest of the city.
