Mr. Black: Ladies & gentlemen, you have all received a packet and you are welcome to spend a week in your accomodations, all expenses paid by, well never mind.

this is Mr. Green, he can start the story.

Mr. Green: Hey y'all, we were working on a tip that there was a group of refugees landing in Galveston last week. Our tip also indicated there were some new drugs, something we had not seen before. Of course the tipster got the time and location wrong, but we were able to trace a Chevy Suburban via "other means" from where the boat put in.

This is Dr. Carlos Arenas. He came over from Cuba as a ten year old with his father Luis Arenas in 1994 as part of the Mariel boatlift. His father was later imprisoned for child sexual abuse and died in prison.

Carlos is a Lepidopterist and is Director of The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory.

We traced the rented Suburban to a remote location and observed what appeared to be a gathering in a rented house outside of Galveston. We sent in a team of four DEA agents with a backup crew of six Navy S.E.A.L.s. There were six children being abused by four individuals, who immediately surrendered. One of the detainees reported that Carlos was in the basement "Doing his thing.". Two agents and two S.E.A.L.s proceeded into the basement where they found Dr. Arenas abusing the corpse of a 7 year old girl, not identified, she had been exsanguinated and Dr. Arenas had apparently consumed a large amount of blood and was using some as a lubricant.

Carlos is 40 years old 5'4" tall and he weighs 135 pounds, four SEALs were able to take him into custody, but the two initial agents were killed and the two SEALs are expected to physically recover, but they are expected to take some time to recover completely. Dr. Arenas was unarmed.

We located on his person a used syringe, the contents have been tested and so far they have identified what appears to be blood plasma with some as yet unidentified virus material, mixed with cocaine. Dr. Arenas is in a secure facility, he was on a four week vacation, which started five days ago. We are not releasing information of his arrest. We have no information except that he rode a bicycle to and from his office, we don't know where he lived. He got mail at the museum.

We are also in the process of analyzing Dr. Arenas' blood. Preliminary tests show a similar virus in large quantities in his blood. This is being investigated by the N.I.H. to determine the properties of the virus, which seems to resemble the H.I.V. strain with some significant differences. Check back with us in a few days when we have more information. We have already determined that Dr. Arenas' blood seems to carry much more O2 than normal. We have no idea why at this point.
