Grey Pilgrims: A Ravenloft Campaign

Many come through the Mist, and few return to the lands beyond. Dark omens and a dreadful prophecy will dog your steps as you make your way through the Domains of Dread, hounded by the terrors of the night and doomed to unearth deep secrets about yourselves and your world. Hello! Thanks for looking at this listing. If you're here, you're likely interested in any of the following: gothic horror, the Ravenloft campaign setting, or the WFRP2e game system. Anyone with interest in any of those things is welcome and please read everything carefully before applying! Be warned, this will feature what D&D2e called the Grand Conjunction campaign, so if you're already familiar with that, you may not have as much fun with this campaign.

REQUIREMENTS: The following are required to play this game.
1. No flakes. Life happens! But a swinging door of departing and arriving players becomes problematic, so please don’t sign up for this lightly.
2. A willingness and predisposition to roleplaying. The campaign is RP-heavy. Furthermore, combat can be quite deadly in WFRP, so while there will be opportunities for peril galore, a hack-and-slash playstyle will get you killed. There may be sessions were initiative is not rolled once. In-character dialogue, note-taking, and an investment in the setting and story are as important as knowing your spells and stats!

Disclaimer 1: Because this is a horror setting, be warned: on your adventures, you will encounter adult themes that may be disturbing or distressing. The purpose is not to harm or terrify you, but to creep you out and enhance your experience. I will always attempt to depict the spookiness tastefully, not gratuitously, but please know that if horror is not your cup of tea, you will likely find that this is not either.
Disclaimer 2: Ravenloft is a prejudiced place. If you’re hairy, you might be a werewolf. If you’re an elf, you might steal children. But this is fantasy prejudice, not real-world prejudice, and I will never collapse the barrier between the two. I expect the same of my players.
Disclaimer 3: On a lighter note, your character may die, contract a terrible disease, go stark raving mad, acquire scars, or lose limbs. It is intended that this is all part of the fun. It is not a malicious attempt to remove player agency or ruin your day!

1. Read "Setting and System" carefully. This will provide background for the game, the DM, and your character creation.
2. Fill out the "Player Application" and PM it to me. If your application looks good, I'll contact you and schedule a meeting over Discord to talk about the application, campaign, etc. If I think you'd be a good fit after this step, you'll be joining us for Session 0!
