Star Wars 5E: Rising Darkness

It has been 185 years since the Battle of Yavin. 10 years ago extra-galactic species known as the Yuuzhan Vong invaded the galaxy and wreaked havoc upon the stars. 6 years ago the New Republic claimed victory against the invaders and the Vong went into exile. However, the cost of victory was a high one indeed. The Jedi Order was nearly completely eradicated with most of its members having perished in defense of the galaxy. And now, the remaining Jedi are dying or going missing one by one without explanation, and if that was not enough there has now been a bounty issued on live Jedi that is worth an excessive amount of credits. The New Republic has lost much of its power and desperately clings to what little they have left. Now several other factions are moving in to stake their own claims. The Mandalorians eying up the weakened New Republic as a dying beast that needs to be put down , the criminal organizations such as Black Sun and the Pike Syndicate ever looking to expand their own spheres of influence, and rumors that a new empire is rising in the far regions of known space.

Hi, I'm Jude I am an 18-year-old dungeon master who is thinking of beginning a new Star Wars 5E game set in the distant future. I myself have been a dm for several years now for 5th edition. I will say that you need to be at least 16 years old to be seriously considered for the game and I do prefer people closer to my own age so if you are 30 or over there is also a low chance of consideration. I hope to create a new group of friends who can all have a blast roleplaying together. If you are the type to start problems or get easily pissed off with the players and I then I request that you do not apply for both our sakes. You are far more likely to be picked if you have a detailed application. I would love to see you create a large backstory (although it's not required) as I have plans to try and integrate them into our game if you are willing to work with me to make a backstory that would fit for the overall plot. Please do not create a new listing or I will ignore it and anything else you post on here. Our voice chat audio will be on Discord. My games tend to run 3-6 hours usually somewhere around 4-5 mostly. Also, I know that Star Wars has a lot of controversy with us fans having many differing opinions so I would ask that everyone try to be respectful of another's opinions. My games aren't known for their balance but as long as there isn't a bunch of min/maxing then it should be mostly fine. Lastly for this section I'd like to show you the rules for the game.

1. Any homebrew will have to be run by me first.

2. When you roll for health if you roll below the average hit points for your class you take the average instead.

3. When you roll for stats, roll 2 sets and take whichever, this means that you roll 7 times as you normally do and then you roll and additional 7 times and pick the between the two sets.

4. You will not bring any weird kinks into the game.

5. I'm fine with some rules lawyering but don't do it often it gets old quickly.

6. Don't bother signing up if your racist, homophobic, etc. everyone is welcome here.

7. Be nice to me and your fellow players I'm fine with teasing but just don't be that guy.

8. Even though this is a game for a younger crowd don't act like your 6, you still need to be somewhat mature.

9. The rule of cool will be occasionally used but I won't let the party do just anything.

10. I am using the gestalt subclass rule which gives you two subclasses.

Next I wanted to say that I have a very strange way of dming and I would like to do one shots for each of you for your characters so that you may play through parts of your backstories and so that you can get a feel for your character before session 1.

Alright, that covers nearly everything. I apologize for the wall of text here and if it doesn't make sense in places (I'm writing this past midnight). Like I said if you have a detailed application you are more likely to get in. Don't be scared to ask me something in the questions listing. I hope that we get to become great friends!
