Taladas/Feywild/Shadowfell, Mon PM

This is a player-driven sandbox D&D 5e campaign set in the land of Taladas, featuring Humblewood, the Feywild, and the Shadowfell, with multiple Kingdoms and Empires, and a focus on non-standard species. Influenced with Planescape and Spelljammer, with adventures across multiple planes and spheres. The campaign uses home base locations, spanning across multiple planes and worlds, experiencing the rich culture of each land and people.

Taladas will also include content from Grim Hollow, Drakkenheim, Curse of Strahd, Wild Beyond the Witchlight, MTG, Ravnica, Krynn, Spelljammer, Planescape, League of Legends and other settings. It will have a grim dark feel, a high adventure style, and an influence of cosmic horror.

The campaign offers strong character customization options through Character Advantages at creation and Character Points from gameplay and leveling. Players will determine foes and adventures from emergent gameplay and choices. Featuring: home bases that can be developed; episodic adventures chosen by players; discoverable story arcs; downtime options for character growth; reputations across multiple factions; forgotten ruins and histories to explore; and long term play (campaign will last 3+ years, from level 3 to level 20). You, the players, drive the narrative as you interact with factions, pursue adventure hooks, discover and create stories, and make your place in history.

Character Creation and Homebrew Rules
We use DnDBeyond and Roll20. DnDBeyond tracks and keeps your character. Roll20 gives us a tabletop, chat, and a dice-rolling forum. You may use Beyond20 to roll from your character sheet into Roll20, or you may roll directly in roll20. We use Discord for voice.
Options. All optional character creation materials are available, sources and race/class/background options and should be turned on including partnered content.
Before You Begin. When creating your character, be sure to select all sources, class, and race options, as well as fixed HP and variant encumbrance.
EXCEPT. No custom lineage, no custom background
After Creation. We will determine organizations, allies, rivals, and fateful moments, fleshing out more of your background.
Character Creation. No secret characters (race, class, background). Every player gets to know each character's race, class, and background.
Level. New characters begin at level 3. However, all characters in any given campaign are the same level. If you are joining an active campaign, your character level will reflect the campaign's current level.
Ability Scores. Roll 4d6, dropping the lowest die. Do this six times and distribute the numbers among your ability scores. When you are done, make sure your rolled ability scores add together to 76. If it is lower, increase ability scores of your choice until they total 76 (18 max). If it is higher, reduce ability scores of your choice until they total 76 (8 is lowest).
Hit Points. We will use fixed hit points. Your receive maximum the maximum hit die result plus your Constitution modifier for level 1.
Alignment. No evil characters, no evil tendencies. Your character needs to function within a group, bringing value to the other player's characters, and not detract from the group and the group's goals. No lone-wolf, no edgelord.
Characteristics. Fill these each out completely, or I choose them for you. This includes traits, ideals, bonds, and flaws.
Equipment. Please assign your starting equipment. If you start at a higher level, we will adjust your equipment to reflect your current level.
Skills. We will need to add the following skills to your character: Craft, using Constitution; Spellcraft, using your primary spellcasting modifier or your highest mental ability score; and Thievery, using your Dexterity. Everyone is proficient in craft. Spellcasters are proficient in Spellcraft. Rogues are proficient in Thievery.
Constitution (Craft). You gain a bonus number of tool proficiencies equal to your Craft skill. These include instruments, kits, tools, and games.
Intelligence (History). You gain a bonus number of language proficiencies equal to of your History skill.
Character Advantage. You will select 1 of each Advantage Letter; A, B, C, and D; from the Character Advantages. Not all advantages are available for each campaign, and some advantages will be applied slowly over your first few levels.
