(Webtoon/Manhua based game) What a cruel game this is.

A modern day city, full of people all minding their own business. Perhaps you were a traveler coming to the city for some kind of business trip. Perhaps a teacher on an off day, a bakery owner who'd just finished setting up their shop for the morning rush.

Regardless of what you were, you're something different now. In a flash the calm and easily presumed atmosphere of the city has devolved into chaos. Blood lines the streets as creatures far from normality seem to be brutally murdering those in the streets.

Most cower and hide away from these creatures, these beasts. Some rise up to the task of defending their fellow citizens and begin to fight these creatures tooth and nail. Chairs, steak knives, even their own hands and feet, people fight back.

Soon after a great deal of violence has settled a great number of people have what seems like a video game screen appear in front of their face. The interface seems crisp, seamless as if it's really physically there. A few words bring a horrifying reality to be known.

" Greetings, you have been invited to the game of the Gods. "

Hello! Welcome to my pretty shameless rip of a theme and story inspired by a webtoon called 'return to player'. Whilst the idea of the setting and etc are heavily inspired by the webtoon, the direct plot and progression of the story is not!

I will be pretty blunt, this game is meant to be a more tactical and brutal game wherein the players must train and attain great strength to eventually beat the end goal. (This will probably take quite a while.)

While this may seem daunting and primarily focused on combat, I actually have a huge emphasis on roleplay in this game. Character growth and NPC interactions are probably the biggest things I’m looking for in this campaign.

Players will have access to a vastly revised character growth system! Most of the changes I've made will be explained in the contents of this google doc. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1py7shmO8imKK9eFwDuRVqHqW-f02XPXezMSAs9ULgYs/edit?usp=sharing

NOTE: I am starting everyone at level one! Only races in the document are allowed!

Note, not every change is present here, as I may addendum some things when players make characters, or through the game if I feel a player is not performing up to snuff due to mechanical limitations.

Martials will have a far greater sense of power scaling in this setting, and will have a great deal more potential abilities to use.

Getting into the actual SETTING of the campaign, this is a completely modern day and real world setting campaign. Every god from mythology is canon. (As well as H.P lovecraft gods for some reason.)

However for obvious reasons, i'd prefer we don't touch on gods or religions that people IRL consistently worship. (I find it highly unlikely we'd offend some norse pagan by roleplaying Odin and etc.)

With that said, the game will likely be set in the U.S because i have little knowledge of intricate social and geographical things outside of my own country.

The game will run about 4-5 hours on average, and maybe later some nights depending.

Players can fully expect to be rewarded for interesting characters, and will have basically full creative freedom to pitch ideas for unique character concepts! (Barring very extreme ones that I would struggle to balance.)

With all this mentioned, please feel free to contact me with further questions that you feel are unresolved.

Discord will be used for voice calls!
