Owlman: The Animated Series

# About this game
* This is a super hero game using the BASH! Ultimate system (Sometimes called Basic Action Super Heroes); roll20 doesn't have a specific BASH category so I listed the closest superhero games I could think of.
* The storyline follows Owlman and a group of his closest allies as they solve crimes and clash with villains in Lakefront City.
* The game is styled after the 1990s 'Batman: The Animated Series' and is aiming for a similar tone, power level, and so on. If you've never seen it, that's fine, but may help to watch an episode or two to get the feel.
* This game happens on alternate Thursdays; 1 week on, 1 week off.
* Sessions are expected to last ~2.5 hours, beginning at 6pm pst (roll20 should adjust the time for you)
* We use Discord for voice, and roll20 for rolls. We expect you to have a working microphone. We do not use webcam
* Because our OOC humor, everyone should be 18+

Player Expectations

  • Players are expected to be on time and actively participate in sessions
  • We are a collaborative group, working together to create a good game experience
  • The game and group are quite social; you're expected to actively talk in and out of character. Despite the "Batman vibes" we don't want players that lurk in the shadows for 2 hours and say nothing lol
  • This isn't a game for min-maxers or rules lawyers
  • Above all else we're looking for cool people who will bring a good atmosphere to our table. We are a very active server and our goal is that everyone becomes frens eventually :D

Houserules

  • In general, I am a "rulings not rules" game master, in particular I will adjust and change rules to try and fit the genre
  • 1 vs Many: Because a lot of Owlman villains are lonely weirdoes, when we reach a '1 vs many' situation we're going to do a special type of initiative where each character gets to go 1 on 1 with the villain for a sequence in the show. We decide who goes first between the Hero and the Villain, and then a 'miniature round' is done. This way we avoid the "oh the villain rolled bad initiative so they just get steamrolled by the heroes" without me having to pad the scene in some way
