The Breathing Labyrinth - 2024 Rules Campaign (bi-weekly)

The campaign just started and things are already taking a dramatic turn. Our heroes set out in search within The Breathing Labyrinth, a place of legend said to hide untold secrets and riches. One of our players is an archaeologist from the Beyond Depth Guild.

After an early encounter with a rival guild and a few deadly traps, they found a hidden underground cathedral. There, a little girl invited them to “play” a game to free the angels trapped inside. What followed was a brutal battle in the bloodstained halls, and tragedy struck. One of our two heroes fell in combat, his body returned to his village but his soul now bound within the cathedral's walls.

Now, the surviving archaeologist seeks new allies to continue the mission. The labyrinth is vast, but the next step is unclear. Should they press forward into uncharted territory, or focus on finding a way to release their fallen companion’s soul from the depths of the cathedral?

The story has only just begun and there are many paths ahead. Which will you take?

This campaign will run bi-weekly, taking place every other weekend.
There is no player minimum requirement, we play no matter what.

What Awaits You

  • Sandbox Adventure: The paths you take, the mysteries you uncover, and the stories you create are entirely up to you. Even the DM doesn’t know where your choices will lead.
  • Dynamic Challenges: Each room offers a new way to interact, from puzzles and combat to intricate roleplay encounters.
  • Backstory Integration: Your characters’ pasts will shape the labyrinth itself, weaving your personal histories into the dungeon’s secrets.

Playstyle

This campaign is a complex dungeon crawl with deep storytelling, character-driven mysteries, and immersive exploration. The labyrinth is a place of discovery and danger, where every room offers something new to uncover. Expect a blend of action, roleplay, and problem-solving as you navigate the most sandbox dungeon you’ve ever encountered. Be ready for frequent and intense combat encounters that will challenge your tactics, endurance, and teamwork throughout the adventure.

Character Creation

  • We are level 3 at the moment, right about to level up
  • Characters are created using 2024 rules with Roll20’s Charactermancer tool.
  • Some backstory is recommended, as it will influence the labyrinth’s design and story.
  • Use the point buy or standard array system for ability scores, with spells and items from any official source.
