Across Faerûn, the name "Waterdeep" evokes feelings of wonder, awe, and envy. The City of Splendors is undoubtedly the most famous city on the continent of Faerûn, home to haughty nobles, diligent craftsmen, scheming merchants, daring sailors, and bold adventurers of every stripe. It has always been a center of wealth and influence where those who dream of power, riches, or artistic fulfillment can come to realize their aspirations.
The party was set to meet their friend, Iadenos (a Harper bard), in the city of Waterdeep. When they arrived, however, Iadenos was gone. He left a note for the party saying that he'd had to leave on a “dangerous mission.” The party then went in search for him, eventually finding Godric (Iadenos's Harper companion) in Skullport, the dark underworld of Waterdeep, which is slowly being taken over by the drow of House Tlin’orzza.
Meanwhile, a prophecy is causing a stir in Waterdeep:
In Highsun, when Selûne hides her face,
A Prince will appear among the deep race,
To rule in Waterdeep for years to come,
And hide her people from the sun.
What can the prophecy mean? To add to the mystery, several people have gone missing throughout Waterdeep — a young woman named Helia, and a Red Wizard named Arkam Jos, who is suspected of stealing four magical amulets from the Red Wizards.
In their latest adventure, the party has headed toward a deep-gnome village, Kardivver, which was invaded by duergar (dark dwarves). They have spent the last few days braving ancient dwarven ruins and searching for clues to Iadenos's whereabouts and the meaning of the prophecy.
This group started in February 2016 and is in the middle of its second campaign. As a group, we enjoy all aspects of the game, including roleplay, combat, and exploration. Currently, we’re looking for a strong roleplayer who is interested in developing a memorable character and bringing it to life. A creative writing background is a plus, as some of us enjoy roleplaying on the forums in-between games.
Currently, the party consists of:
Paladin (Human)
Rogue (Elf)
Monk (Elf)
Sorcerer (Half-elf)
9/27: We are currently looking for a divine caster (Druid or Cleric preferred).
Group members must be able to attend 90%+ of sessions, and they are expected to stay for the whole campaign, which should last for another 6-12 sessions.
For most battles and dungeons, I use maps and tokens. I like to include at least one strategic battle per session. Here are examples of the battle-maps and handouts I use for my campaigns.
Character sheet: OGL
Voice server: Discord (push-to-talk required)
Session length: 4 hours, with breaks
Game Time: Saturdays, same time every week
We are using only the official books, with almost no homebrewing or house rules. Feats and multi-classing are allowed, as is the human variant. Everyone gains XP at the same rate, even if they miss a game, so the party is always the same level.
The party is currently level 13, and you will start at level 13 as well. Your character can be any of the races in the PHB except Dragonborn or Drow, and your ability scores can use the standard array or the point-buy variant. You can apply with any class, but we are really only looking for a divine caster (Druid or Cleric preferred).
When you’re ready to apply, post a new topic with the following information:

If we like your application, you can expect to be interviewed as part of the LFG process. Thank you!
