Save Phandalin from impending doom in this adventure for the world’s greatest roleplaying game. Unbeknown to any townsfolk, monsters lurk deep underneath the town and plot a chilling course. These monsters have allies, as bandits vie for control of Phandalin. Can a brave band of heroes stop this evil menace?

The Shattered Obelisk

The shattered obelisk is one of several similar objects found scattered throughout the multiverse. They are powerful artifacts with dangerous magical effects, although no two have the same powers. The earliest known examples of these magical obelisks can rewrite reality on a grand scale.

A mysterious group called the Weavers created the obelisks to undo great calamities — often by hurling a region or entire world back in time before the calamity occurred. No one knows anything about the Weavers because the evil wizard Vecna stole the secrets of the obelisks and used them to erase the knowledge of the Weavers from existence.

Lore of how to create the artifacts then seeped throughout the world, with wizards from the now-fallen empire of Netheril emerging as the most notable obelisk builders. None of these obelisks were as powerful as those created by the Weavers, but they could nevertheless enact great and terrible changes.

Welcome to Phandalin

Nestled on the northern Sword Coast, between Neverwinter Wood and the Sword Mountains, is the town of Phandalin. Centuries ago, Phandalin was a thriving settlement with deep ties to its neighboring communities. But then bandits overran the town, and Phandalin lay abandoned for centuries.

Only in the past few years have settlers built a new village on the ruins of the old. These townsfolk hope to grow Phandalin through hard work, camaraderie, and the shared purpose of building a lasting home. Threatening their efforts and their survival are bandits, brigands, and monsters.

Wave Echo Cave

Fifteen miles east of Phandalin, Wave Echo Cave lies in the deep vales of the Sword Mountains. The rich mine of the Phandelver Pact was lost five hundred years ago during bandit attacks that devastated this area.

In the centuries since, countless prospectors and adventurers have searched for the lost mine, but none succeeded until now. A drow is searching within Wave Echo Cave for the Forge of Spells, where the human mages of old Phandalin enchanted dwarven weapons and gnome gadgets. The abundance of powerful magic rumored to be hidden here is a rich prize, but could be devastating if these items fall into the wrong hands.

Attack of the Nematode

A massive creature called the Nematode awakens to full sentience. Able to fly as easily as it drifts through the Endless Void, the Nematode slips through the planes until it soars above Phandalin.

The Nematode arrives on a dark night, its darker shadow against the starlight the only indication of its presence. The people of Phandalin don’t initially realize the Nematode is anything other than a cloud passing overhead.

The true scope of the danger dawns as the morning light illuminates the Nematode writhing 500 feet above the town like a malevolent cloud. The creature is far too large to defeat by conventional attacks or spells. Brave adventurers must find another way to save the town from this menace...

About Me

I've been playing and running D&D games for almost 40 years, dating all the way back to AD&D. It's been my pleasure to serve as a full-time professional DM for over five years now, with most of that time spent running games online. Perfecting my craft is my primary focus, and I constantly seek ways to elevate the game to new levels.

I love customizing each campaign with stories and quests created exclusively for that group, thus ensuring that each player has a unique and memorable experience. I enjoy helping players develop their characters over a long story arc that unfolds amidst the campaign. The DM might be considered the chief storyteller, but the story is meant to belong to the players. I encourage everyone at the table to contribute to the tale that is being told.

I am blessed to work with a talented group of DMs who provide an even better gaming experience for everyone by working as a team. We collaborate to provide extra help to people, and we're very welcoming to newcomers.

Why A Paid Game

With D&D increasing in popularity, the number of players continues to grow rapidly. There aren't enough experienced DMs running free games, which fill up fast and often end quickly because there is no investment by either the players or the DM. My games are designed for players who want to play with the same people every week to build a memorable story together, rather than constantly starting over by joining the next free game pops up. If you want to journey through a long-term official D&D campaign and experience it the way it was meant to played, then join us.

Here are a few of the reasons joining one of my games can provide an excellent experience:

  • I own everything ever published by TSR or WOTC, and I'm well-versed in all the lore.
  • I strive to create an immersive experience for my players, while teaching newcomers along the way.
  • This is my career. It's my passion.
  • I will show up for sessions prepared and provide an outstanding experience week after week.
  • Charging a small entry fee per person virtually eliminates postponed sessions and broken campaigns due to player no-shows.
  • People who are willing to pay a modest fee tend to approach the game with a better attitude. They typically don't quit impulsively when things don't go their way.
  • Players do not need to purchase anything at all to participate. Everything is included.
  • Access to all relevant sourcebooks for character creation, leveling, and game play is provided free of charge via compendium sharing.
  • I purchase or create many additional materials, including high-quality maps, to make everyone's gaming experience even better.
  • We have a Code of Conduct which is designed to ensure a safe and inclusive gaming space for everyone. Bullying, harassment, and assaultive behavior is not tolerated here. We take everyone's well-being seriously.

Because I've already purchased all of the relevant material, you'll have access to over a dozen sourcebooks at no additional cost when you create your character for this campaign. This includes over 120 classes and subclasses, 100 races and subraces, 80-plus feats, and over 40 official backgrounds.

Beginners Welcome!

We go out of our way to welcome beginners. This includes people who have never played anywhere before, as well as those who are simply new to online play. We are happy to provide newcomers with extra help to get them settled in and learn the game, including during character creation, in game, and between sessions. There is no extra charge for any additional help you might need.
