A terrible virus has spread across the lands of Saryl. Those that are stricken begin to petrify, their body slowly corroding into dust the further it spreads. And those are the lucky ones. For those that are less lucky, they find themselves changed, twisted and corrupted. They become beasts, monstrosities, creatures of nothing but hunger and blood. No one quite knows how the disease is spreading, but everyone believes it originates from far down below, in the depths of the void sea.

There are many who would fight against these transformed creatures, but most perish under their claws. Those that survive do terrible things to live to see another day. They ingest the blood of their prey, gaining from it tremendous strength and vitality. But it is a death sentence. There are only two roads for a hunter. Madness. Or Death.
