WELCOME TO NIGHT CITY – CYBERPUNK RED WEST MARCHES

What is West Marches?
This is an open-table, sandbox-style campaign. There’s no single party, and no fixed schedule. Instead:,

You choose when you want to play. Other players sign up to the job you propose.,

Missions are posted on the Job Board for anyone to sign up.,

The city is open—where you go and what you do is up to you.,

The world evolves based on player actions, even when you’re not there (factions move about, other players change the city, etc).,

How It Works Here:

Jobs: DMs or players will post missions in the ⁠jobs channel in a forum thread. First come, first serve. If you see a job you want, reply in that thread to sign up.

Sessions: One of the signups needs to be a DM (unless the DM posted the job).

Forum Roleplay: Between missions, you can interact IC in the ⁠in-character forum. Each thread there is a location (like The Wiretap). Use these to gather intel, meet contacts, or just hang out (please dear god do not ERP in any public channel).

World Tracking:

#map – Updates to the city map and discovered locations.

⁠journals – Player-written recaps of runs (earn bonus IP).

What to Do First:

Read the Rules in ⁠rules

Post Your Character Bio in ⁠character-bios (use the example format or make your own) and you will get a one time bonus of 40 IP.

Check the Job Board to see if there’s an open mission.

Say hello in ⁠general and meet the other players.

A Few Tips for New Runners:

Actions have consequences. The city reacts to what you do.

Sharing intel helps everyone—use the ⁠journals and #map.

Don’t be afraid to start a run. If you have an idea, pitch it in ⁠jobs and see who signs on.

Keep it fun—respect other players and the world we’re building.

Looking For Players Who Are...
Chill – This is a neon noir crime story, not a rules courtroom. Let’s focus on the story, not split hairs over every modifier.

Collaborative – I love when players help shape the world. Your Lifepath choices will come back to haunt you.

Roleplay-friendly – Not required to do voices, but please bring a personality. Edgerunners with feelings? Shocking, I know.

Forgiving – This is my first time running Cyberpunk RED, so expect some rulebook-flipping. I’ll keep things fast, fair, and cinematic.

Rules of the Table
Rule of Cool trumps RAW. If it’s awesome and makes sense, we’re doing it.

No rules lawyering. If you love proving people wrong with PDFs, this ain’t your alleyway.

Respect the crew. We’re here to tell a story together. No spotlight hogging, no edge-lording (unless it's badass).

Meta stays out of the game. Suspicion, betrayal, or tension is fine in-character, but we keep it friendly IRL.
