In the far north of the Sword Coast, past the towering mountain range of the Spine of the World lies the cold gray-white lands of Icewind Dale and the chilly communities of the Ten-Towns. For over two years there has been no sunrise in the Dale, the Ten-Towns trapped in perpetual twilight and eternal winter by Auril, the Frostmaiden. As summer becomes a distant memory and trade with the south is choked off by brutal winter storms, desperation festers. The Dalesfolk sacrifice what they can to appease the Frostmaiden to no avail, offering up tokens of warmth, food, and more. But whispers abound, drifting through the desolate towns like so many flurries of snow, of ancient power buried beneath the ice, of things lost and forgotten stirring once more.
In Icewind Dale, the light is gone and warmth is fleeting.
Hello! I am Frenchy, I have been playing TTRPG's for over 10 years and been a DM almost as long. I strive to accept people from all walks of life and levels of skill/familiarity and make sure everyone feels welcome and safe.
This game will be run through Roll20 with Discord for voice (Video not required). On Saturday evenings (CST, time can be variable based on group availability.) This campaign has some pretty dark themes and matters and I'd like to lean into the horror and survival aspects a little bit more if possible - be forewarned!
Schedule - Weekly on Saturday evenings
Session Length - Preferably over 3 hours no more than 4-5
Price: $10 per session via Paypal (free session 0 and Character creation sit down.)
Ruleset: 2014 5e with some homebrew allowed if ran past me first. NO PvP combat, though player conflict in roleplay is fine (So long as both parties consent and/or talk about it before hand)
I am looking for players excited to be here sitting at the table not only to play their own character, but for the cooperative story telling experience with the others at the table. Be kind and courteous to others and capable of sharing the spot light, or even better shining the spot light on others! I tend to offer inspiration to those who consistently offer good roleplay to their peers or impress me with creativity in any situation.
That being said, if you are a newer player and not sure or comfortable - don't be afraid to apply! I'm more than happy to help you get into and experience an awesome collaborative story experience. I'm looking forward to finding out this story together!
If you're interested - please check the pinned topic below and fill out the info and post it in reply to the original. If I feel you're a good match I'll reach out to you to schedule a sit down and chat over discord!
