Aliens - Colonial Marines

Let's Rock! Take control of a desperate squad of Colonial Marines as they struggle to protect the lives of innocent colonists, engage hostile forces and attempt to unravel an insidious plot which threatens the very heart of humanity. In wake of the disaster on LV-426, there is much to answer for.

This is a combat focused, squad based, military adventure sim RPG. Role-playing opportunities will also be presented. Rules in play will be: D20 Modern with elements from both "Aliens: Game Over" and Leading Edge's "Aliens Adventure Game" thrown in. This game is expected to be extremely deadly. Make no mistake - Characters will be killed. Characters are pre-generated and each player will assume control of two. Mature themes and content to be expected. Seasoned gamers preferred but beginners welcome. Note: despite the name, this game is not based on any video game. Intend to play weekly on Friday's at 9:00 EST (until the wee hours of the morn?). For now, this is a one shot adventure (which will require multiple play sessions to complete). If successful, a longer running campaign may be built on its foundation.

About me: I've been playing RPG's for over 25 years. I've experienced a wide variety of game systems in that time. For most of that time I have acted as game master. I've been running a Pathfinder campaign on roll20 now for over 6 months now (Rise of the Runelords). Naturally, Alien and Aliens are two of my favorite movies. I'm very familiar with the Aliens universe.
