The world is changing. Technology is advancing like never before. Steam engines and bound elementals have ushered in a new age of technological wonder.
But not all is bright in this world; corrupt governments have more power than ever, the air is choked with smoke from factories, and the industrial economy is built on the backs of the unrepresented poor. The year is 1799, and all across the world danger lurks.

I'm thinking this will be a more sandbox-based campaign. There will always be quests and job offers available, but your characters are free to pursue their personal goals.

Some Rules

All official stuff is fine (PHB, EE, SCAG). I'm open to homebrew options provided they aren't ridiculously overpowered.

No outright evil characters. You can do some sketchy things, but I don't want every session to fall apart because you want to burn down the orphanage. Even if your character is a bad person, at least have them stand for some set of principles.

Injuries. We will roll on the Injury table when a PC is reduced to 0 HP. I feel it makes fights more memorable and interesting. If you end up losing a limb, mechanical replacements do exist in the setting, but they are costly if you want them to work right.

I don't mind edgy or dark humor, but any actual racism/sexism/homophobia/discrimination won't be tolerated.

I understand real life gets in the way sometimes. If you have to miss a game, let me know beforehand. If you don't tell me ahead of time, you will be kicked from the game. I don't want to do this, but I've had problems with it before.

We will be using skype for voice, so you need a decent quality mic. No webcam necessary, as we won't use video. Please try to find a quiet place to talk from, nobody wants to hear a lot of background noise.

Leveling will be done about every other session, not by xp. I just like doing away with the unnecessary bookkeeping.
