**Synopsis.**
Nestled in the depths of the Veiled Forest lies the small but prosperous town of Fairn. A major stop for traders and travelers of all types, Farin does quite well for itself despite its relative seclusion which is great for you a member of the local mercenaries guild or well,if you’re being honest a thieves’s guild. Sometimes you do actually guard people or caravans on their way to their next destination and other times you’re the reason not all their goods make it. But the roads are dangerous and as long as you play it smart no one is the wiser.
Or at least that’s how it was before the damnable river attacks. A couple months ago these…things (how else does one describe a horrific monster born of your wildest dreams?) started climbing out of the river and harassing people, travelers, children, farmers. It hasn’t exactly made anyone want to travel to Fairn. Matter of fact, travel and trade has all but stopped and you’re bored. More important, you’re plain broke. If the militia is too busy sitting on their hands to do something about it you might as well act yourself, not for Fairn of course or its people, but for the Love of Thievery (and all the lovely gold that comes with it).

This is a miniature campaign set in my homebrew world of Tyrinth (jazz hands) that revolves heavily around the fey/the feywild. That said, this campaign will mostly revolve around a small village and the members of its local thieves guild (you). Essentially you’ll be tasked with investigating and putting an end to the river monsters wreaking havoc on your town so you can go back to stealing from traders, you know, the fun stuff.
We’ll be starting at level 1 so this would be an excellent campaign if you’re new or still learning the ropes. I’m estimating it will take 5-10 sessions to complete and go from levels 1-5 and if the group likes playing together and has the time I’d be willing to write another adventure to continue. We will also have a Session 0 to create our characters and go over my house rules/more information about the campaign. We will use Roll20 for our VTT (...duh) and Discord for Voice/Video. I will also set up a dndbeyond campaign for people who prefer to have their character sheets over there.
My sessions are generally 4 hours with a 10-15 break in the middle or whenever I can manage it. We'll be playing on Wednesdays from 8:30pm EST to 12:30am.

A little bit about me.
My name is Grace (any pronouns but bonus points for not using she/her all the time) and I have been DMing since the pandemic when I picked up the torch as DM for me and a group of friends who had never played dnd a day in their lives (myself included). After that I got hooked and have spent every moment of my precious spare time since either running a campaign/oneshot/or adventure or preparing for it.
I’m a very flexible/go with the flow sort of DM and all of my games prioritize roleplay and storytelling over anything else (don’t let that fool you into thinking I don’t like combat, I adore it and include it liberally as long as it connects with the plot). I like to think my strongest points are my npcs, my maps (most of which I make myself), and my playlists (sometimes I think I need a separate Spotify account to sort my personal from alllll of my dnd playlists).
Also notably, I’m very queer and very neurodivergent so, if you fall into one or both of those categories I would especially love to have you at my table! <3
When I’m not playing dnd, preparing to play dnd, or thinking about playing dnd, I am probably playing a video game, cooking or baking (my one true love), or spending time with my very beautiful wife who I, fun fact, met playing dnd!

Disclaimers/Important Notes.
I only allow 21+ players at my games and this is a hard line for me. I’m A. not interested in playing with minors and B. not interested in playing with people who are barely not minors. Sorry, not sorry! See you in a few years? :)
I hate to be #likethis but absolute no 2024 rules. I just cannot, not yet. I’ll probably be ready for the change in 20 years but certainly not today.
In case this wasn’t abundantly clear you’re playing thieves! Who tend not to be super great guys! That said, I want to make sure everyone is on the same page right away about things. I won’t tolerate murder hobos in my games, you’re thieves, not assassins (and even they live by a code). Additionally whatever character you make, no matter their alignment needs to be able to be active in and work well with their team. You don’t have to make best friends with anyone but even the darkest of characters should be able to acknowledge that a team makes life easier. Also, this is a collaborative game so…collaborate! ;)
I prefer to play with video! If this isn’t something you can manage then this isn’t the game for you, I totally understand being shy but I rely a LOT on body language/micro expressions and I think it helps everyone feel much more engaged. :D
Anddd last thing, this will be a game that prioritizes RP between party members and between party members and npcs. It will also prioritize immersive story telling, if that’s not your thing then this isn’t the game for you (wow that’s like…the fifth time I said that).
If that all sounds good to you go ahead and pop on over to my handy-dandy google form to apply! It's just a few questions so I can make sure we'll mesh well together! If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM here on Roll20.
