Hello and welcome, I am a Gamemaster who answered a post to run a Final Fantasy inspired game. Our group is looking for 3 more players so we can being the campaign. We will be using the Final Fantasy 14 5e homebrew as well as my own homebrew systems to make the game feel much closer to the video games. The additional systems include a spell point like system for allowing all characters to cast or use magical effects/materia, a system reworking vulnerability into a break system which causes enemies to be come stunned from taking enough vulnerable damage and of course the Limit Break! system. Expect a mix of combat and roleplay, but whichever the group finds themselves liking more we can always lean into. I always ask players to make a character they really resonate with and could play for a long time, akin to an OC or the fantasy version of themselves, it's not a requirement but I find it often helps people relate to the roleplay more. Expect a long standing game that could potentially span a couple of years and in depth character arcs/quest to help get to know your fellow adventurers. We begin at level 1 but level relatively quickly, real danger will begin to appear around level 3-4, so no accidental character deaths, just the early game JRPG noobie start. The campaigns starting date is just a place holder, we will likely start as soon and we have enough players.

EXERIAS
The Setting
The world of this realm is a merciless unforgiving place, monsters roam the lands and ne'er-do-wells take up root where they may. However they are not given free dominion over this plane, there are those who would stand against them as they have for many thousands of years, the Harbingers. An interconnected guild of adventuring halls bent on the soul purpose of protecting the realm and the people who reside there. The Hero's of this story can come from far and wide with many differing views or goals. But one way or another adventurers always find their way to the Harbingers.
Dark Past
The realm was attacked by a demon threat over 1000 years ago, and even enslaved for a time. When the demons were fought back to their abyss, it was not long after that they returned more ravenous than before. However they would get no foothold this time instead they were forced back into their deteriorating realm. The demons home, Stygia, was being slowly consumed by the chaos and all that remained of its people were the strongest. It soon came to be that mortals referred to all fiends as Stygians. The realm has stood without a mass scale invasion for nearly a millennia and with the Harbingers around it would appear that is not changing anytime soon. This realm however is far from safe, even from itself.
Prepare for Adventure
This campaign will have our heroes one way or another coming to work for the harbingers guild. As most who adventure eventually end up serving them in one way or another. Quests come in from all over the realm asking for help, our heroes get to decide where and what they will do. The campaign is very adaptable and many things can be changed, It doesn't always have to be quest to quest. So lets get out there and have some fun.
