Steelwinds: Tempering Forces

This is a TLGBQ+, disabled, and beginner friendly campaign. I am committed to providing an inclusive space for players to have High Fantasy fun, which means bigotry of any kind is not allowed.

Heavily inspired by Lost Mine of Phandelver and Dragon of Icespire Peak
Lvls 1 or 3-12
Length- 20-24 Four Hour sessions
Themes- Community Building, Faction Conflict, Exploration, Monster Hunting, and Boss Battles

Explore Ancient Ruins, Resolve Conflicts, Battle Dragons, and Stop the Villains!

The characters are some of the newest members of The Steelwinds Adventuring Company. Having joined the chapter in Waterdeep they take the class D mission to escort a merchant from the city to the logging town of Phandalin. An eight day ride with minimal risk of attack by beast or bandit, the mission seemed easy enough for decent pay, but the Sword Mountains aren't the only things that loom ahead. Will this freshly forged band of heroes stand the tests to their mettle, or will they be overcome by the Tempering Forces.

This is heavily homebrewed with such changes as:

Class names-

Barbarian is changed to Berserker
Druid is changed to Witch
Monk is changed to Striker

These terms align more closely with the class, and require no subclass name alternatives, though you are welcome to replace circle with coven.
Species-

Dragons, Giants, Elementals and their kin all come from the Elemental Plane.
Elementals are known as Primordials. Each still hold their distinct creature type.
Dragons are tied to Soul Magic
Giants are tied to Tech Magic
Primordials are tied to Nature Magic

Goblins are known as Gremlins
Hobgoblins are known as Feyfolk
Halflings are known as Hin
Kobolds are known as Drakkin
Warforged are known as Soulforged
I do not allow Hadozee or Yuan ti. We can create a species or find a suitable hombrew.

Rules-
Ignore Racial and Stat restrictions:

If a feat states you must be a certain race/species or have a stat higher than a certain number ignore it.

I do not use Encumbrance or Attunement rules
Critical Success & Failure:

I use a sliding scale when it comes to checks.
Rolling a 20 means the most incredible outcome happens, and rolling a 1 means the least favorable result.
Failures should not be punishments.
I will do my best if a group wants to drop their weapon or hit their allies on a Nat 1,
but usually it's just a wide miss or environmental interference.

Critical Damage:

Roll+RollMax+(Modsx2)= Damage
