Waterdeep: Dragon Heist (Saturday)

Welcome to Waterdeep Famed explorer Volothamp Geddarm needs you to complete a simple quest. Thus begins a mad romp through the wards of Waterdeep as you uncover a villainous plot involving some of the city's most influential figures.
A grand urban caper awaits you. Pit your skill and bravado against villains the likes of which you've never faced before, and let the dragon hunt begin! This is a mystery adventure, you and your party are tasted with solving a mystery around the city of Waterdeep and expose a grand scheme. becoming local heroes in the process.

The adventure will take place between lvls 1-5. I am going to be honest with you. I want to transition into Dungeon of the Mad Mage and take on old school dungeon exploring from the time I was young. You DO NOT have to join into Dungeon of the Mad mage, if you dont have the time to invest in a 5-20 campaign completely understandable. I WANT to work with you all to integrate your characters into the game and perhaps design side stories involving your characters if you work with me on your character background and include ways to hook onto your characters story. Look up creating knifes for your DM on reddit its and interesting way to design a character for a DM providing me with options on how to involve your character closer into the on going history.

Dungeon of the Mad mage is a lvl 5-20 adventure and lets face it even though we all want to reach the legendary level of 20 some of us will not make it there but I promise if you show up I will do my best to see you to the end of this adventure,

About the Campaign / Rules

• Dungeons and Dragons 5e
• The Setting is Waterdeep, Fantasy, Survival, Adventure, and solving mystery is probably the most important aspect.
• Game will be 50% Roleplay / 50% Combat (Though in the end that ultimately depends on the party.)
• Everyone is welcome.
• I am welcoming to LGBTA
• Sessions will last 2.5-3 hours.
• Characters will lvl from 1-5+ during adventure.
• Clear communication with the DM is Key. ( Examples: If another player is making you uncomfortable I would like to put a stop to it or you want to leave the campaign please let me know on discord or roll20. I will keep the complaint anonymous. )
• Please show up for each game. (I will.)
• Be respectful with your fellow players we come from all walks of life.
• # PVP IS NOT ALLOWED #
• Metagaming is frowned upon. If you played WD:DH before or if you are a fan of streams that have ran it do not ruin it for others.
• No rules lawyers. (Save discussions about the rules until after the game.)
• Discord is required.

About Pay to Play

• I ask $13US (Average price on roll20) or $40US Monthly.
• Pay to play is reserving yourself a place at the table.
• I run the game like any other game.
• Paypal only, I do not use Vemeo or others.
• As the DM i reserve the right to remove any hostile, rude or harassing players. Players deserve a safe place to play.
• Why do I have to fill out an application? I’d like to get to know you a bit without it feeling like a job interview. I personally dislike it when I talk to a DM and then I am ghosted.

About the DM

• I have been playing/ GMing D&D and TTRPG’s for 20 years, I enjoy GMing any style, I like to roleplay and interact with players I like listening to characters interact. I like to make campaigns tailor made for the players, integrating there backgrounds into long campaigns.
  
• I am 40 years old.
• I am Male.
• I am not a killer DM but I do try to challenge players.
• However if you do make a poor decision then I might be forced to kill a character.
• I may kill your character but I'll always give it options to return.
• I am respectful.
• Experienced with Roll20.

Character Creation

• Level 1
• Tasha's options allowed.
• Each player gets one feat at the start, regardless of race.
• Roll for stats or Point buy.
• Leveling is Milestone.
• No Monster Races. (Pure orcs, bugbears ect this is purely to make sense in the story.)
• Most books for classes and spells are allowed, official WotC sources only. (No Ravnica or spelljammer races.) (limits are to fit the campaign)
