1-on-1 Play-by-Post D&D Campaign

Looking for a campaign where your character is genuinely the center of the story?

I'm looking for players interested in a long-term, 1-on-1 Play-by-Post campaign, run entirely through Discord. There are no scheduled voice sessions; gameplay takes place through written posts at whatever pace works for both of us, allowing plenty of room for roleplay, exploration, character development, and a story built specifically around your character.

Rather than placing you into a predetermined adventure with a fixed party, the campaign will be designed around the character you create. Your background, goals, and interests will help determine where the story goes.

The Setting — Aurora

The campaign takes place in Aurora, my long-running homebrew setting and the result of several years of worldbuilding.

Aurora already has an established foundation including:

• Two extensively mapped major continents
• Kingdoms, cities, settlements, and wilderness regions
• Established factions and cultures
• A developed history stretching across several major eras
• Plenty of unexplored areas where entirely new stories can develop

You won't be expected to read an encyclopedia before playing. Relevant lore will be introduced naturally as your character encounters it.

The direction depends heavily on your character and the choices you make.

How the Game Works

This is a purely text-based Play-by-Post game.

Everything is handled through a private Discord server:

Gameplay — Character actions, dialogue, exploration, combat, and narration.

OOC Chat — Questions, planning, character discussion, rules clarification, and general conversation.

Dice Rolls — Rolls are made directly through Discord so everything remains visible and easy to follow.

Because this is Play-by-Post, there is no fixed weekly session time. We simply post back and forth as availability allows. I'm primarily looking for someone who enjoys writing and can remain reasonably active rather than someone interested in rapid-fire one-line responses.

Posts don't need to be enormous. A few good sentences that give me something meaningful to respond to are usually better than several paragraphs written purely for length.
