The campaign takes place at Tracen Academy, Japan’s most prestigious school for aspiring Uma Musume racers.

Every student at Tracen carries the name, legacy, and dreams of a legendary racehorse. Some arrive surrounded by expectations and devoted fans. Others enter the academy as complete unknowns, hoping to prove that they belong among the greatest racers of their generation.

You may play an original Uma Musume of your own creation or take the role of a canon Uma Musume from the series. Canon characters do not need to follow their original story exactly. Their friendships, rivalries, victories, and failures will be shaped by the events of the campaign and the choices made during play.

You begin as students working toward your first major victories.

Between races, you will attend classes, train your abilities, pursue hobbies, spend time with teammates, and take part in personal encounters throughout the academy. Training Points earned through academy attendance, encounters, and hobbies will allow your Uma to improve her stats and unlock new racing skills.

Your life at Tracen will involve far more than simply running around a track. You may help a teammate recover after a crushing defeat, investigate strange events around the academy, take part in festivals and concerts, struggle with the pressure of an upcoming debut, or confront a rival who seems determined to surpass you at any cost.

Your choices will determine what kind of racer you become.

Will you push yourself beyond your limits to seize victory? Will you sacrifice your own chance to help a friend? Will you remain humble when the crowds begin chanting your name? Can you rise again after giving everything you have and still falling short?

At Tracen Academy, talent may earn you a place at the starting gate. But, only determination will carry you across the finish line.
