The richest man in Battledale isn't a lord.
He runs the mines, owns the caravans, controls the roads, and has the local lord firmly in his pocket.
Now, he's setting his sights on something bigger.
What starts as a simple frontier mystery will take you deep into a dangerous conspiracy, forgotten ruins, deadly heists, and, if things go badly enough, a war for the fate of the Dalelands themselves.
The Bloodstone Baron will lie, cheat, steal, and kill to get what he wants.
The only question left is:
What will you do about it?
Hey folks, you can call me Ryan!
I’ve been DMing since 5th Edition first came out in 2014, and I’ve been doing it professionally since 2020. Over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to run multiple different paid adventures for folks. I'm currently running 3 different Dungeons of Drakkenheim campaigns simultaneously, and now I'm expanding out into some other settings.
The Bloodstone Baron of Battledale is an original adventure set in the Dalelands of the Forgotten Realms. There’s a lot of freedom in this game to decide what you want to do, and those choices matter. The different factions have their own goals, the region is dangerous, and sometimes there simply isn’t a perfect solution. I want to give players room to surprise me, make decisions, and, hopefully, pull off something genuinely heroic every now and then. It uses content from the Adventures of Faerun book and will take players from levels 1 to 15.
I’m looking for players who want to build a story together rather than trying to “win” the campaign. If you enjoy roleplaying, working with the party, making tactical choices, exploring a dangerous world, and getting invested in what’s happening around your character, you’ll probably fit in well at the table.
Before applying, please take a look through the Apply Here section. It’ll give you a better idea of how I run my games, what I expect from players, and what you can expect from me and the rest of the table.
We’ll also be making characters together during Session Zero. I want everyone to end up with a character who feels like they actually belong in the setting, has a reason to be here, and gives the rest of the group something to build on once the adventure begins.
I’m looking forward to reading your applications and facing off against...
The Bloodstone Baron of Battledale!
