A Collaborative and Character Driven High Fantasy Campaign

2STLGBQIA+, neurodivergent, and beginner friendly.
No AI
No Bigotry

Hello Adventurer!
I am seeking players who wish to have their playstyle, character's goals, backgrounds, and choices matter to the campaign.
I have been running games for six years and am confident in my ability to tie character backgrounds together as well as balance gameplay for crunchy and soft players. Of course the campaign is roleplay heavy, but do not feel pressured to develop a character voice or say what they would verbatim. Please try to be as detailed as possible, but ultimately your comfort and fun come first.
During Session 0 we'll introduce ourselves, talk about our ttrpg experience, our expectations of the game, I'll explain my world's history, then we'll discuss characters, backdrop, and party goals.

Setting: An alternate Forgotten Realms
Genres: High/Tech Fantasy Noblebright*
Potential Themes: Epic Quest, Heroic, Sailing/Airship Exploration, Comic
Structure: Episodic Sandbox

This is heavily homebrewed with such changes as:

Class names-

Barbarian is changed to Berserker
Druid is changed to Witch
Monk is changed to Striker

These terms align more closely with the class, and require no subclass name alternatives, though you are welcome to replace circle with coven.

Species-
Dragons, Giants, Elementals and their kin all come from the Elemental Plane.
Elementals are known as Primordials. Each still hold their distinct creature type.
Dragons are tied to Soul Magic
Giants are tied to Tech Magic
Primordials are tied to Nature Magic

Goblins are known as Gremlins
Hobgoblins are known as Feyfolk
Halflings are known as Hin
Kobolds are known as Drakkin
Warforged are known as Soulforged
I do not allow Hadozee or Yuan ti. We can create a species or find a suitable homebrew.

Rules-
Ignore Racial and Stat restrictions:
If a feat states you must be a certain race/species or have a stat higher than a certain number ignore it.

I do not use Encumbrance or Attunement rules

Critical Success & Failure:
I use a sliding scale when it comes to checks.
Rolling a 20 means the most incredible outcome happens, and rolling a 1 means the least favorable result.
Failures should not be punishments.
I will do my best if a group wants to drop their weapon or hit their allies on a Nat 1,
but usually it's just a wide miss or environmental interference.

Critical Damage:
Roll+RollMax+(Modsx2)= Damage

*Noblebright doesn't mean a perfect world. Terrible things happen and evil still exists, but wonder outweighs horror.

If this sounds like a good fit please fill out the application
