Arca - Group 2

An escort mission gone wrong.

You are veterans of Narvisko’s Adventurers’ Guild, with dozens of successful quests behind you. Your reputation has earned you a job from the Church of the Seven Stars:

Escort a sealed wooden crate to the front line of the Crusade against the demon army, deep beneath the Holy Empire of Grandia.

The pay is absurd. Enough for each of you to retire comfortably, with even more promised upon delivery.

Naturally, you accepted.

The Church gave you a wagon, supplies, magically imbued cold iron weapons, and one very clear warning:

Never open the crate. No matter what.

For a month, the journey went surprisingly well. You fought goblins, orcs, and monsters twisted by the chaotic mana of the Rift. You rescued travelers, saved villages, and kept the crate safe.

Then the wagon took a fireball.

This is the pilot for a high-fantasy, medium-magic campaign. The story follows a party of adventurers who find themselves stuck escorting a very important item. Survival will come at a cost, and humanity may be the one to pay it.

This is a FREE 2-3 sessions "one-shot". It is designed to be a pilot to my paid campaign "Deus ex Arca". Everything but the rules are written by me, with many inspirations on various books/movies. Most of the maps are made by me; the rest are curated from other mapmakers. The one-shot is designed to be an experience by itself, but it will also allow you to have a glimpse of my GMing style if you are interested in joining my paid games.
