Wheel of Time

Three thousand years ago the world was gripped in the War of Power between Aes Sedai, powerful channelers of the One Power, and servants of the Dark One, some of which were once Aes Sedai themselves. In an attempt to end the war one hundred powerful male channelers lead by The Dragon sealed the Dark One away but there was a backlash. The Dark One's taint was on saidin, the male half of the One Power, and now all male channelers eventually go insane. This lead to the Breaking of The World when male channelers unleashing their insanity on the world, nearly destroying it. Female Aes Sedai, and those males who held their maddness in check, eventually fought off the mad men. Now all men who could channel were stilled, cut off from the One Power.

The Dragon had been the leader of all Aes Sedai but his folly had almost destroyed the world. Yet it was prophesied he would be reborn to save the world when the Dark One broke free and fight him once again in the Last Battle.

Now, the winter has lasted too long and false Dragon Reborns seem to be appearing more frequently. The men who can channel are eventually brought down. The most recent one, Logain, is being brought to Camelyn to be paraded before the Queen of Andor and then on the way to Tar Valon. You are in Camelyn for your own reason and have decided to see what a False Dragon looks like. Our adventure begins at the Golden Stag.

(Don't worry if you're not familiar with the books. Honestly the less you know, the more fun you may have unless you are someone who can separate player knowledge from character knowledge.)
