I've seen various kinds of games pop up here on Roll20 despite the main focus generally being tabletop RPGs, but one I can't recall if I've yet seen is another tabletop mainstay, miniature wargames.
What we're trying to make happen is a narratively driven multi-player campaign where each player leads an army, we schedule time for two, or depending on situation maybe more, players to meet up and do battle, keep a record on how things go and how that affects the game's world, the results affecting each player's flow in the campaign. Will the forces of Khador push into Cygnar only to be fought back by Trollbloods of the Gnarls? Will Retribution of Scyrah move against the Protectorate as they push north through Llael in their bid for influence, only to find the Legion at their backs?
