The Varisian Frontier

Introducing the Faction Update!

The Varisian Frontier is a pathfinder environment designed for open format, off the rails play. Players will be able to choose their direction and DMs guide content around player choices. Varisian Frontier centers on the capital town of Saoirse (Seer-sha) and the factions that vie for control of her as she grows in Varisia.

The founders of Saoirse were guided here by divine power to settle the region. Researchers later discovered that the location of the town resides on the intersection of two extremely powerful ley lines. Heroes are drawn to this town as a staging platform for grouping up to take on powerful forces all across Golarion which in turn earns them Fame and Influence. Saoirse is a unifying setting that has a rich history created by Players and Dungeon Masters. The town continues to evolve based on the actions of those within it and forces from outside.

In the Varisian Frontier, Players will be able to own land, hold leadership positions and create factions within Saoirse's influence to vie for control of the capital.

A map of Saoirse and the surrounding area will be kept showing different areas controlled by different factions. Players and thier factions will settle land by clearing out mosters and then defending it against outside forces and competing factions. Once settled, they will grow and gain additional influence by performing heroic acts all across Golarion.

This setting uses a combination of modified downtime for capital building and kingdom building for factions. It also features entertaining use of Reputation.
