21 years ago, the last Fhrith emperor died, sickly and old, the last of his heirs having died before him. The endless sunrise of the old empire was over. Chaos quickly broke out among the lords of the realm, fighting for supremacy, only a few of them fighting for peace. After nearly a decade of civil war, a stalemate was declared, and one by one they swore fealty to the empty throne, to the promise of a new heir, and the sun rising again for Fhrithia.
'Interregnum' is, in simple terms, the period between legitimate rulers of a given state. The Fhrithian interregnum has gone on for long enough, and after 21 years, an air of desperation looms. An old faction, loyalists to the empty throne, have worked tirelessly to uncover claims, bastards, old laws, and maybe even an heir, all to no avail. Fear, coin, desperation, ideals, or maybe hope, has brought together all sorts of characters to this faction in the past years, and you are one of them. Their motivations, origins, and skills are varied, but the ultimate goal is the same, to find a legitimate heir and reunite the empire.
This is a GURPS 4e campaign, set in a world similar to medieval earth. The players are part of a team that takes in members from all ranks of society, with a varied set of skills, that seeks to restore the empire of Fhrithia by finding and corroborating documents that might point to a legitimate heir to the throne. There are other competing factions that might try to steal their thunder, and those who revel in the encroaching anarchy. The players are in constant danger, and combat will feature often in the campaign.
An introductory short session will be held at the earliest, once all possitions are filled, for introductions, and to discuss the campaign, characters, and rules. The set time in this page is a placeholder.

Starting funds: $1000 - Wealth up to 'Very Wealthy'
Semi-literacy is the norm, literacy is to be purchased separately, and is worth 3 points
The campaign is more realistic than cinematic. Trained by a Master, Enhanced Dodge, Danger Sense, et al, are forbidden in character generation.
All characters, for free, gain the effects of a Sense of Duty, and a Patron. The Sense of Duty is towards 'a restored Fhrithian Empire'. The power of this patron waxes and wanes with the events of the campaign, and begins at 0 points. An additional Patron or Sense of Duty may be purchased as normal.
All attributes cap at 14
