House of the Blood Queen [18+]

It is the First of Frostfall, in the year 851 A.E. A maiden enters a tavern with bronze skin bare to the wind. Men and women both gawk and smile toothlessly, calling her over but she does not yield. Instead, she approaches a poster along the wall. It is musty, sour with age. The lettering is dwarven and the drawing is crude.

"Ye like what ye see sweetie?", a crooked man approaches with a silver coin in his hand. "Dunno if ye can read, but Hathkil has announced a bounty. Ten thousand gold pieces to kill the One-Eyed Dragon. I can read it to ye if you like." She smiles and whispers, "I'm not tired". He grins, places the coin in her hand and leads the strange woman back to his bed.

The next morning, she dresses. She uses a long leather cord to tighten the breaches then pulls the man's white tunic over her ears mindful of the blood. His dagger is heavier than she expects. She flips it and catches sight of her own reflection. "Time to hunt."

About Me

Hi, my name is Austin. I'm a 28 year old gay male living in the Pacific North West. I have just concluded a six month campaign set in the same world and am looking for a new group. I've been playing and DM 5e close to two years now.

About You

I am looking for LGBT-Friendly players with a penchant for writing and a knack for roleplay. This campaign puts a strong emphasis on creativity and participation. I have a ZERO HATE SPEECH tolerance. Disrespecting fellow plays will not be tolerated and will have you immediately banned.

All players are asked to participate weekly by writing what is known as Campfire Tales. Campfire tales are a unique roleplaying opportunity for parties to stay engaged between sessions and are stories from your character's background written as if shared around a campfire. These come in many shapes and forms which will be discussed upon being accepted. It has had tremendous success in the past but is a commitment and should be agreed to before joining the game!

About the Game

This is a low-magic campaign for a 1st-level (standard array) party.

House of the Blood Queen is a mature, open-world campaign, that takes place in the homebrew world of Ithica. It begins in a small village, known as Dawn, where friends have gathered to discard their old lives and adventure forth towards the king's bounty. It is a functional settlement of commoners, low on resources and equipment. As you get further in the story and acquire loot and treasure, you are given the option to invest in the city using homebrew Stronghold Building Rules. You can attract better smiths, markets, build up town defenses and more... Or, if you are so inclined, leave and find a new home!

This game has a multitude of homebrew rules meant to fix some of the flaws I've found in 5e. Each player will be given access to a campaign document detailing all such rules. This game also features a unique crafting system which offers large temporary bonuses to weapons, armor, etc...

To Apply
