Stars Without Number

Currently a story of political intrigue, government conspiracies and interstellar trade. Current players include an avian alien diplomat, an exotic precognitive alien pilot, a retired human marine, a human zealot of a violent religion and an insectoid alien who recently awoke from a decades long cryosleep with moderate amnesia. Players are currently landed at what could be described as the capital planet of the most powerful political group in the sector, so newcomers have very broad options for their character and will begin at around 3,000XP. No AI characters in this game (sorry, not sorry) but I am using the Martial Arts mandate and have expanded cyberware options, relics and vehicles.

Playing as an alien grants no benefits or disadvantages over Humans aside from the obvious differences in roleplaying. For game focus think Star Trek/Star Wars but with a focus on interstellar trade, diplomacy and exploration in a universe full of extremely rich super corporations and more groups and factions snatching for power than you can shake a stick at.

SWN is an Old School system where starting characters are extremely fragile and even higher level characters could die in an instant if they're careless. Bear this in mind if you haven't played this kind of game before as I will not hesitate to murder your character if they slip up.

It's also a Sandbox game where the players themselves are the major driving force of the story in a world I'm curating. I won't limit your options and if your characters have the ability and resources I won't prevent you from going anywhere or doing anything they desire.

I go for a fairly comedic and light-hearted play style but darker and serious themes are present as well. Meta isn't fun and won't be tolerated.
