Evil Ascendant

Long ago the world's "heroes"--The Order of the Shining Stone, The Golden Redeemers, and Tucker the Great & Co.--smote all of Askis' evils, beating back corruption and nearly purging it from the planet. Centuries have passed since their victory and life has prospered, the modern world developing into a drone of well-meaning bureaucracy staffed by do-gooders and enjoyed by simpletons.

You, however, are not among them. Your heart is as black as the night and twice as cold, the lengths to which you will go to achieve your goals much further than any of Askis' weak-willed heroes would even consider. It is your destiny--no your right--to tear it all down, destroying civilization as a means to gain great power, exact terrible revenge, simply revel in the chaos of mayhem, or take the reigns of authority by force.

Characters are 5th level using the standard character creation rules and those found in the Book of Exalted Darkness: Evil Primer (http://bit.ly/2DVxbx9), Mad Scientist class, and threads in the game's forum. The full list of class archetypes and feats and spells and etc. are all written (this is adventure material for part of a project the size of 4 and a half novels) so if you aren't finding what you want, ask.

The PCs have completed the Killing the Golden Twins adventure module (http://bit.ly/2CJnaUg) and have allied themselves with the mad scientist Gespadrieux. With his aid they have further weakened Lellwyn Fethyrwal's will to live (turning her mentor and best friend into a victim of dementia), a crucial step in driving the demigod paladin to commit suicide. Next the villains have turned their attentions to the Monastic Order of Law, the great work of the monk Varrus Goodwin, seeking the Ring of Oneness so that they might sunder the connections of the Justitia and weaken the world's ability to resist their anarchy.

Party Composition: Hubris the ooze occultist (http://bit.ly/2mC2eb8), Lex the lawyer warlock, and Brutum the barbarian (feral archetype), and a heresy knight paladin named Ottokar.
